It is much easier to spread division and hate than it is to gain sympathy through the understanding of complex issues.

Rather than look at the deep seated socio-economic factors behind the racial problems in the US they prefer to highlight black people attacking white people with the aim of stoking white grievance.

Now some people spread this kind of division and hate because they are frightened or because they don’t have the ability or inclination to gain understanding but others know exactly what they are doing, they actually wish to spread hatred and cause division.

It’s hard to tell which is which but the first should be pitied the second despised.

The first is irrational because it isn’t based on reason or logic the second is rational in that it has an agenda - it is trying to use the ignorance of others to spread hate and division, because it thinks that by dividing it can rule.

I’m glad to see that most people here find this kind of white grievance bating rather repugnant and stupid, however as said I fear that it is much easier to spread division and hate than it is to gain sympathy through the understanding of complex issues.

PS: I wonder how long it will be before one of the dividers comes back with the school yard ‘no, that you that is’

That it is the ones that are trying to heal division that are the real haters and racists because they (overtly or covertly) hate white people. The problem is that many of those that are calling for understanding are white - now I suppose you can call such people ‘race traitors’ as others have did in the past about white people that where against those other injustices of slavery or segregation.

Ah. So it's an extremist off shoot. According to the actual BLM website, the Louisville "chapter" isn't even a real chapter of the organization.

I guess it's another example of people hijacking someone else's message and brand for their own personal gain. I hope BLM speaks out against this woman. Because of they condone this, then they just lampooned themselves. They'll never be taken seriously and their message, as legitimate as it actually is, will be swept under the rug and forgotten.
