You can go to litecoin.org to download a wallet. It does need to synchronise, so that might take a few hours.

Check this to learn more about LTC and how/where to get them.

You might just put some money on any of the exchanges and buy LTC. Or if they don't have LTC, buy BTC, transfer it to a site that does and get LTC with it.

I have bought some some bitcoins (well fractions of a BTC), and I'm mining other altcoins.

There's some new coins out, there were quarks, now we got atoms and molecules too.

    hey i recognize you!

so you're mining those three? or what?

i mentioned in the other thread about bitcoin, that i just started cloud mining. you can buy gigahash for bitcoin, which mines for you. and then you can 'day-trade' the gHash because the price of that varies.

i've mined a little more than 0.001 bitcoin in just over 2 days, with a 0.106 btc investment. but remember, i can sell my 2.8 GHS at any time and get back most of my initial 0.106 bitcoin (or more depending on the price)

let me know if you'd like a referral to this site...

Right now, at this moment I'm GPU mining Doge and cpu mining Qubitcoin on 2 machines. I had been mining quarks with CPU but am going to switch pools next time I start mining them. I think maybe mine one coin for a while, then another and somehow keep track of everything. I haven't tried the atoms and molecules yet but I plan to, maybe mine 2 coins on my desktop and cpu mine another on my laptop. The blockchain is only a couple weeks long on these newer coins, but apparently there was no premining done. I just switched pools for doge coin and already made a couple hundred doge since switching a couple hours ago.

Since gold is a physical asset one can hold in their hands, a store of value, how can something that is digital in nature ever become like gold which has held it's value since the beginning of modern civilization ?
The second question is , since Bitcoin has a limited quantity how could Bitcoin become the standard for monetary exchange as it would very soon be held by the wealthiest alone ? Since quantity is finite how is expansion possible without debasement just as we experience with fiat money ?

Finally I do think crypto is the future but it will be government controlled contrary to beliefs of Bitcoin holders who believe a monetary system can arise outside the control of governments.

Its not the future, it didnt really take off as a replacement for cash, I knew it wouldnt

As for trading, no different to derivatives or forex or anything that goes up or down. Derivatives arent tangible things either.

I did invest few years ago but not anymore. It's old way to invest into. I suppose institutional-grade alternative investment fund that seeks to capture alpha from uncharted parameters in digital assets is better. By way of volatility harvesting and decorrelating algorithms, the firm identifies market dislocations that drive risk-adjusted investment opportunities. Anyway there are a lot of crypto options wich can give profit as soon as possible.

Bitcoin is a Chinese scam that will transfer the worlds wealth to China. 80-90% of all bitcoins are mined in China with the latest and most profitable hardware. Look at the facts. Not only is bitcoin not worth anything, it's based on the destruction of mostly coal power. Energy the planet will never see again. A bitcoin wallet represents nothing but a real world BURDEN of future energy consumption for transactions. No intrinsic value, bitcoin is NEGATIVE value!

People have said that for 10 years now. Crypto is not going anywhere and personally it's made me plenty of money.

Still unexplained is how inflation is created with Bitcoin for instance ? This was one of the original reasons for the foundation of the Federal
Reserve that being " to provide elasticity " in the money supply.

With Crypto of any label there's a finite supply. Bitcoin's most vocal advocates call it digital gold because it is in fact finite.

You got some free money at what cost? Who's going to pay the cost of this greed driven wasteful senseless parasitic lottery currency?

We are all going to pay the price of these crooked greedy unethical morons, BURNING OUR FUTURE!

Anyone supporting this currency is a parasite on this planet and all humanity.

I liked it since it was a way to escape big banks. I think this is why the media works to hard to discredit it. We don't need a bank and their fees to send money. Two people can do it. The fees to use a major site like coinbase are less.

I don't know what you mean. There is some real environmental concerns with mining Bitcoin I care about. We need to address that. But I don't see how my "greed" hurts anyone. I am doing the same thing as the stock market. I invest in a product hoping the value rises.

There's not too many stocks on the market that have the potential to destroy the planet and western civilization if they achieve mainstream dominance. Bitcoin does, this shit is a whole new level of greed. Its "value" is pure senseless waste, destruction of resources and carbon pollution. It is a manufactured environmental disaster of epic proportions. It is the worlds largest digital gambling syndicate, that needed to be outlawed years ago. It is an absolute lie, it is not decentralized, it is 90% processed inside China. Its hardware is entirely manufactured inside China. They will always have a massively disproportionate mining advantage because they make it. They have total control of what happens within the entire scheme.

If this currency thrives, it will rocket us into the impending energy apocalypse while also speeding up global warming. It will decimate western economies, we will be third world slaves to the superpower of China. Billions of people will starve to death. You can invest in new alternative energies and solutions, or waste countless tonnes of resources on a greedy destruction based currency scam. When the carbon fuels dry up and our societies and infrastructures collapse, the digital currency on your dead useless hard drive will not be worth a rotten can of fucking beans.
