No don't worry about that. Go to the VVV at the train station, they'll sort you out with a hotel. You generally have to get there in the morning and early afternoon, but I've been stranded in asmterdam at 4 in the morning on a saturrday night and found a hotel room for about 40 euro.

 

The Flying Pig is a good hostel, but it's hard to get into. Fuck the Bulldog, although for a place to stay it's allright, I wouldn't buy your weed there. Go to Cafe 420 for your weed, just off the damrak not far from the station.

I would also say the Bulldog sucks, but maybe it's good as a hostel, I got no clue about that. But I don't like the coffeeshop at all!

 

Also, does this mean you aren't going to open a bar? And that I now have no reason to move up to Canada? Because I was kind of hoping for that.

 

um i'm going to europe for a couple of months, it works out to be like 50 days
i'm still opening my bar afterwards


the bulldog looks so pretty, it's really the only reason i'm wanting to stay there

i really really hope that i can get a nice place off the bat
although i'd prefer to book somewhere for the first night at the very least...

Then you'll have no problem finding a room. Thursday, friday is when all the weekend visitors come and sunday, monday is when they leave.

I wish I hadn't said anything now. Listen when you get there everywhere you go there will be people getting in your way, it will be hustle and bustle. I mean of course watch out for pick pockets, but you wont get mugged if you stick to the crowds. There are lots of narrow alleys joining the various streets that are shortcuts. They are identifiable by the lack of people walking down them, just don't walk down them alone and you'll be fine. But even if you do, chances are you wont get mugged OK!

BTW are you really a ladyboy LOL If so then no-one will mug they'll be too scared that you'll scratch their eyes out!

If you take a walk round the red light area, which most people do as it's a tourist attraction as well as easy but expensive way to get laid, avoid eye contact with the african guys. They will walk past you and whisper "cocaine" to you, just ignore them and they will leave you alone.

Most importantly, have fun! If you fancy it get your ass down to Nijmegen on the train on friday 18th for the last night of the zomer feest it will be a massive party and about a million people come from all across europe and the world for it. Valkhof Park is where the hip stuff is going down all week.
