Well I gotta say, if I wasen't afraid of a disease related cause, that could make for some damn good eatins', not to mention packing the deep freeze for soup and stuff for a loooong time to come...

Maybe if you boiled the crap out of em, and wore a resperator and rubber gloves while gutting...

Fireworks is now being listed as the cause of the Arkansas bird deaths. They did show internal trauma. I've seen birds fly around fireworks before. They seem to be attracted to the light, but of course the explosions can kill small birds.

I know of a recipe where you bake those blackbirds in a pie...

Sing a song of sixpence a pocket full of rye,
Four and twenty blackbirds baked in a pie.
When the pie was opened the birds began to sing,
Oh wasn't that a dainty dish to set before the king?
The king was in his counting house counting out his money,
The queen was in the parlour eating bread and honey
The maid was in the garden hanging out the clothes,
When down came a blackbird and pecked off her nose!

I hope that rye wasn't too moldy... ;)

I also thought it could be a methane release because of the fish and the birds. I can't remember where it was but there is a village that has been totally wiped out several times by methane being release from the lake near them.

Prepare for mass media panic and a rush for vaccines. At any rate, it's only a matter of time until "vaccines" are mandatory...

    That's in Africa.

The funny thing is mass die offs have been increasing for years, and only now are ppl starting to notice...

Pollution is the usual culprit. But now climate change, severe weather and fireworks are more likely culprits for this recent rash of events in the US.

These birds are not dying from the flu. They show severe trauma to their bodies.

I know. But do you really think the media won't seize this opportunity to create just another big scare to get people to go out and get vaccines and stock up on canned goods and bottled water and keep them scared inside their homes?

It's a very good idea to have canned goods, flour, rice, salted meat, bottled water, etc, on hand, say a years worth. The media doesn't want you stocking up, they want to scare you into watching fox all day long, and choosing to give up your freedom for an illusion of safety.

Seriously? Is that just in Canada or the US as well? I could see it being against the law to go fucking nuts and buy the store out of everything all at once, but really, they can't keep you from accumulating a collection of food.

Costco, is a great place to stock up on certain food necessaties. Or some other places sams club. I dont know what they call it over in canada.

back to the original post, it is very disturbing! But somehow I think it might be more than just weather related. I could be incredibly weird thinking that though.

Its in most developed countries... look up anti-hoarding laws.

As long as things havent crashed and burned yet, don't expect them to be enforced, but as things get worse, they most definitely will be.

However, if you wish to discuss this, start a new thread about it. :)
