We always hear how congress never gets anything done because they are not bipartisan. The problem is, when they do work together what we get is more war, more debt, things like the patriot act. The answer is anti-partisanship, not beholding to any party.
I somewhat agree with you about this. From what I have seen in my almost 70 years, neither political party (or any of them actually) in the USA has any credibility with me. They are all arcanely ruled, organized and all blatantly out for lining their own wallets and protecting their own interests above all others... of course they are kind to those who help them get and maintain their positions of power, but these are forces of corruption at work. If you look back at history Democrats and Republicans have both been inhabited my many criminals. Things were way more rough and tumble in politics back in time. January 6th aside... there are a few other instances of note that people seem to have forgotten.
Bipartisanship is what has gotten us in the fiscal crises to begin with. Both major parties work together spending the American people's money to screw the American people.
i don’t think it’s bipartisanship specifically that’s the problem. I think it’s corruption, incompetence and blatant self-interest. Bipartisanship could mean politicians act in the best interest of their constituents congruent with their own values. It just doesn’t happen to mean that in America party because politics is a zero sum game
