hey all..... Looking for some folks who are practising biodynamic farming. I have great interest in starting a toatally biodynamic farm and would love some insite on how to learn where to learn and what to do..........................peace and love J
Hi, I know it as biointensive, but it is probably the same thing. Check out Ecology Action's books by Jeavons. The backyard homestead, The sustainable vegetable Garden, etc... I don't know what scale you plan to farm, but these may help you. Also, we are starting a small community outside of Paradise , CA, and if you are in Napa, then you are only 2 1/2 hours away. My wifes family lives in St. Helena. Anyway, check out our site and let me know if you are interseted in coming to our property to put your will to work. www.co-operativeeffort.com We look forward to hearing from you---rabbit
rabbit.... Thanx for the insite... looks like a cool spot of land you have there when do you start building?

i love the idea of biodynamic farming. i think that there are a couple of biodynamic farms (at least!) in this area, but i havent had a chance to visit them yet. you've probably seen this site, right? http://www.biodynamics.com/ there are lists of registered biodynamic farms on there, with contact info. i bet that if you got in touch with someone who already has a biodynamic farm going near you that they'd love to chat with you too.
since you are in napa, it is probably worth checking out common ground in palo alto, they are an organic gardening center with weekend workshops. also they have a farm in willits called common ground. their site is www.commongroundinpaloalto.org check 'em out. all our love and respect---rabbit and willow
