I think that bill Cosby was RIGHT. Those people need to " get up, get out, and get something" rather than relying on MY hard earned tax payer dollars to support they lazy asses. They really need to start watching those bad ass kids and for god sake USE BIRTH CONTROL. It's a good thing!!! People need to start living life as if it is a gift not a promise and maybe life would get better for them. Now if you'll excuse me I have to go pick up my kids from detention.
omfg, read between the lines. The blacks, dammit, the blacks. The negroes, the coons, the niggers, the fucking watermellon pickers, whatever you wanna call them. African Americans spent years opressed under an unjust government, fighting and fighting, always trying to push their way up the latter. Now, things are level, if not in their favor, and they're blowing it all off. They work their asses off for hundreds of years, they made all these achievements, and they're still talking like they were out in the bush in fucking africa getting sold off to the portuguese. Christ, someone needed to say it, and I sure as hell know a white man was'nt going to.
Now see I was trying to have a nice civil discussion. But since you decided to go there, lets go shall we. The fact that you still use the words "coons" and "fucking watermelon pickers" shows that the fight is still being fought. (by the way, there is only 1 L in watermelon. maybe cosby is talking about you) And people in the bush speak Swahili, not English, you rocket scientist. I can see by your grammar and apostrophe placement that someone forgot to pay attention in English class. You'll never become a doctor spelling that way and I, for one, will sleep better at night having that knowledge. I would battle wits with you but I'm not a bully. (despite my race)
You jump one me because I am telling the truth? When was I not civil? I'm telling it how it is, how Cosby should, and would, of told it if he were not on the televison. I'm not being ill-mannered because I said various derogatory black names, I simply stated them. Did I point at anyone and call them a ******, no, and i can promise you that I never would because I am a reasonable, intelligent person. Do you have anything to say of the actual content of my post, and not just petty attacks on my grammar and spelling? And for your information, I know what they speak in Africa, which includes both Kiswahili and South African English, with an additional 9 native lanuages.
The thing is that your statement implies that black people owe it to America to be productive. For the sake of argument, let's say that black people are "blowing it off". So what? The idea that black people should be grateful just reinforces the idea of black inferiority. I, personally, believe that I do owe the people that fought for civil rights and need to honor their blood, sweat, and tears. It's a personal choice. Despite what America and conformity wants you to think, nobody has to do anything...but die one day. Black, white, rich, or poor, we are people. People are allowed to fail. Freedom to do what makes you happy is the concept on which this country was built, in case everybody forgot. That includes freedom to speak incorrect English, hate Bill Cosby, or just generally be an asshole. Play ball!!!
Wow! I don't know what to say... But I do remember about a year ago Bill Cosby was being accused of being a racist too, something about not letting white people be apart of some thing he was doing, I don't know, bad memory. But in some aspects he was right, and in others he was dead wrong.
Who cares? Lots of people! You're not going to get far in life if you can't speak proper English and you live in America. These people who don't go anywhere and amount to nothing and are ultimately a burdon to society as a whole because they often (not always) resort to a lifestyle of drugs or violence, or (often) both. Or, they are simply dependent on the system - hense the taxpayers - for their entire lives. Geez, yes it does! Right, you might be able to get into McDonald's, though. But hey, if that's the life people want, all the power to them. It's just that the sad reality of it is that many urban blacks who are uneducated often resort to a life of crime. It's not racist to say that, either, because it's the truth. Bill Cosby didn't get to where he is by feeling sorry for himself. He made something of himself. Not in the real world. Maybe if you're a successful rapper.... BEING EDUCATED MEANS SPEAKING PROPER ENGLISH!
As a matter of fact, I don't. But I have in the past. I've been working since I was 14 years old.( I have been a warehouse worker, Cna, and, lastly, a truck driver.) I decided that I wanted better and that meant going to college. While I'm getting my degree, no, I won't be paying taxes. That has no bearing on this conversation, anyway. Let me ask you this, do you really believe that if welfare were eliminated the government would give you some of your money back? Hell no! The truth is that the government spends endless amounts of money on wasteful things. They have to distract the sheep so they get people all in an uproar about welfare. I see your point, though. Feeding and providing medical care for poor, disadvantaged children is a blatant waste of money. They should start a program that will take care of the problem for good. Since it is a crime to be poor, these families should be shot soon as they reach the poverty level. That way, the taxpayer would be happy because they would know that their tax dollars are not supporting these lazy so-and-sos or their innocent children. The poor people would be happy because they will no longer be poor, they'll be dead. AAAAhhhh America the fucking beautiful.
Sorry Missy but I've spent more years than you've been alive trying to make an effort to hopefully help some of the less fortunate. Real life experience counts a bit more than what you obviously believe it does. Many of the less fortunate simply refuse to make any attempt at bettering themselves (you will notice I said many which does not mean all). And the worst part of this is that they pass this pattern of thinking onto their children which in turn only increases the numbers of those unwilling to contribute to our society as a whole. My contributions to those in need are above reproach from you or anyone and if you believe you've done more than I in your 26 years then you are sadly mistaken. The programs that I have managed are designed to help those willing to help themselves and I am the first one to kick a person out if they are only looking for another form of free ride. Our failure rate is over 30 percent (to me, 30 percent is a large amount!!) and I guess you'd have me believe that this is my fault and not those who simply refused to try. I've seen the real side of this and not some spoon fed dogma you'd have others believe.
There was a time when irish and italians came to this country who didnt speak any english, were poorer than 99.9% of the "poor" now and ended up making something of themselves. Most were probably faced with racism and discrimination far more apparent than any blacks/whites/latinos do today, and yet they made something of themselves. The difference? There was a work ethic in those families and they worked to improve themselves. In many poor families today there is no ethic to work and improve yourself and i dont feel sorrow for those people. To those who do try and are unable to, they are the ones who deserve help from the government.. Not the ones who do not try. People in America are lucky, It is probably the only country in the world where you have the possibility to come from absolutely nothing and have a chance to become the richest person in the world. There are so many people who have turned nothing into somthing, why is it that now people are unable to do that? Our society has become so lax and unproductive it is scary. As jimmy carter once said in a speech, "We need to stop crying and start sweating..stop talking and start walking." Americans used to believe that. Its sad that we dont now. People need to stop feeling that they are entitled to something without working for it.
You are all right. Black people are lazy as hell. They are not worth anybody's respect. If people are poor or homeless, it is their own fault. The system or racism has nothing to do with it. Black people just happen to enjoy being poor and ridiculed. Happy?
i sure hope that wasnt directed at me. I made no distinction other than poor, certainly not one based on race.
I Reject Your Capitalist system and do Not judge a Person's worth by their bank balance. And i Dis-agree with this Work ethic brainwashing nonsense, alot of people are rejecting the current system because it doesn't work, not everyone can better themselves, not everyone can have the good jobs, someone has to sweep up the shit and get paid shit for it. Call me a Dreamer but i Yearn for the Day when Money no Longer Exists.
who said anything about judging people by their bank account balance? Sorry, but your communist ideal is not only fantasy it is also cruel.
It was actually toward the whole thread. I see, in this thread, the same attitudes that I deal with everyday. I'm not going change anybody's mind and nobody is going to change mine. I just wanted to end it. As usual, nobody can be bothered to step into the next man shoes. My whole point was respect. I don't have to like my neighbor but respect is minimum. Bill Cosby condemns people for being uneducated or not being of his mindset. My grandma speaks the worse English I have ever heard, but she has worked everyday of her life. Who is he to judge her when he doesn't even know her? Based on that one thing? When white kids shoot up a high school, does anyone say that white parents aren't doing there job? No. The prejudice is so ingrained that people don't even know they are practicing it. This is thread has taught me alot about why I get dirty looks when I so lovingly speak of my children. Why I don't want people to know that I am in school and don't have a job. Why I always make sure people know that I have worked all my life. Why I hurry to tell them that my fiance left me for another woman. I'm making excuses so that they won't think of me what the people on this thread think of poor people. Fact is this: I was fine financially and then I fell harder and faster than I ever thought I could because of someone else's decision. None of it matters anymore because I've learned that what people think I am is not what I am. Thank all of you for that. Now I can ignore the dirty looks with a clear conscience. I'm done talking. (gets off of her soap box)
