That is only one definition of classy. There are others, in the common venacular.
Classy can be stylish, and I actually like that in a man, but it can also mean classy in the way someone treats people, meaning a person who treats others with respect. Obviously people use the term classy in that way probably as often as they do the other way. In my man's case, he is both, he is stylish and treats people with respect.
So yes, he is classy, which most people would like in a man or a lady.

yeah, classy is both, but i prefer the classy to refer to a person's attitude, not necessarily their sartorial decisions. a class act can be found in any walk of life.
