Democrats are doing what they always do which is go very right wing to "compromise". The prison system in America makes private business money and that appeals to the right wing. It's very hard to say we should have less prions without the right jumping on and saying "oh so you are fine with crime then? I guess that's why we have Chicago and Seattle you don't even respect the concept of law enforcement".

It's already working now when the Democrats don't support a secret police force. Republicans are the only party to press their advantage when they have a shot.

She’s strong, black, ambitious, intelligent, and a rising star in the democratic party - they fear what she can bring to the ticket.

IMHO She’s the perfect choice, can’t wait to see her take on Mike Pence in the VP debate

You make an excellent point- I didn’t think of it that way. I just personally don’t think that the US is ready for a female VP, and an African American at that. But I completely agree with you that she is a fighter, and both are the kind of candidates that need to come up against what we have right now. At this point, I’ll take Mickey Mouse in the White House- tired of this shit.

My super liberal friends don’t like her because she was a cop.

I think she was the safe choice though. Maybe not Pence blank slate safe. I don’t think the anti-California thing would persuade anyone who wasn’t definitely voting Trump.

 

Kids need schools. White supremacists need to be put in prison.

 

In Criminal Justice School, they teach 5 degrees of use of force. Cops shouldn't jump to the Glock Pistol at first instant. Cops should be better educated, and with annual re-training.
