Fact is its probably not enough recently approved $1.9 trillion pandemic stimulus package. Tax Policy Center found that it would raise around $2.1 trillion over 10 years.
correct! I've heard people worry over inflation or printing and borrowing from China etc. The solution is simple: you get what you pay for. There's bickering to follow w/ regard to paying one's own way in life and working vs. sitting around, which is useless in my estimation. I think though that while raising taxes on those who can most afford them is novel, there's more to be gained by also taxing at the point of sale. Another penny at the pump? It'd make a difference. Or what about a penny on the dollar at grocery? That would make or break! Taxing income is passe.
