You may be using the term Biblical Mythology to mean "a set of stories, traditions, or beliefs associated with a particular group or the history of an event, arising naturally or deliberately fostered", while many might think that you are saying that it is "lacking factual basis or historical validity" which can be pretty offensive to those who believe those myths to be true and not "myths" at all.

    Hi Buddy

With Gnostic Christianity being talked about more, people will realize that literal reading and the literal demand that only the four main gospels be considered cannon was always a point of contention within Christianity.

You should read or listen to some of the modern Gnostics and how they read some of their really weird works.

It does not matter much because to us Gnostic Christians who recognize that the trick to enlightenment is not a particular myth but what is important is to internalize it.

The one you find can be Zeus or Satan, if you happen to be a Satanist, what is important and vital to enlightenment is to be able to fall into the Character you choose to, sort of believe in.

Jesus is likely the natural choice for most here and this link shows a bit more of how seekers need to think about internalizing.

Those who compiled the bible have made it relatively easy and as a Gnostic Christian, I recommend it. Any God and tradition will do though. The only thing is, is that literalists will never find their real God because they idol worship a Godinabook instead of the God that Jesus says is within them.

John 14:23 Jesus answered and said unto him, If a man love me, he will keep my words: and my Father will love him, and we will come unto him, and make our abode with him.
Luke 17:21 Neither shall they say, Lo here! or, lo there! for, behold, the kingdom of God is within you.
Romans 8:29 For whom he did foreknow, he also did predestinate to be conformed to the image of his Son, that he might be the firstborn among many brethren

Literalists are an offence to a thinking mankind and a disgrace to our species. All of their parents deserve a good slap for dumbing down their children to that extent.

They are also the curse to religion and have done it more harm than good.
