I believe Jesus is God and that description doesn't match him at all. You can say I ignore parts of the Bible if you want, but that's just what I believe.

    Those terms aren't grandiose enough.

Any terms are grandiose. There is a difference between grandiosity and grandeur.

So you have created your own religion by plagiarizing some parts of the bible while discrediting others, seems like a trend when Christianity is discussed.

Get a few more people to go along with it and you have yourself the beginnings of a cult, err, I mean church. :D

Theologian Charles Hartshorne wrote an interesting book entiltled Omnipotence and other theological mistakes (omniscience being another). Your posts explore paradoxes similar to the old saw: could God make a rock He can't lift? The answer is Yes. God's omnipotence extends to all things capable of being done, not to things which are logically contradictory. God couldn't create black whiteness, etc. If God chooses to limit His own power or knowledge (e.g., make a rock He can't lift) He can do so, and there is no contradiction in His subsequent inability to lift it. I don't see anything in Scripture that would contradict this.

Again, when there is no evidence to support the existence of god you take it a step furtther by claiming to know it's mind and the limits of it's power, I gotta ask in relation to a previous post, are you telepathic, if not how do you know these things and if they are from the bible how do you know not to simply discredit them?

If god created the laws of this universe would it not be safe to say that he is not governed by them, if he is able to manipulate them to create a logically contridictory occurances what would stop him from simply creating another?

    (I.e lifting the unliftable boulder),

I don't see anything in the scripture to support this.

I only wished to share an awareness with you. I have been blessed by a handful of ecstatic mystical transfigurations. The whole idea of a description of God is so alien to the actual experience, which is an overwhelming sense of belonging and gratitude.

I'm just going by logic and the concepts of omnipotence and omniscience. Whether or not God exists and has these characteristics are other questions.

I don't think of logical properties as that fungible. I don't think it's possible for God to create white blackness anywhere in any universe.

I don't see anything in the scripture to support this.[/QUOTE]

Nor am I humorless. In this instance, no more has been intended other than it be taken as friendly.

Unfortunately the greek word for "honor" that Paul uses is not the same word that the is used for worship so I don't think that's a good comparison.

In Greek the word applied for worshing God is proskuneo.

If we look at how the Greek word proskuneo is used in the Bible 19 out of 55 times it's used to describe worshipping God. It's also used 15 times for worshing Jesus. Why would the meaning of the word suddenly change when it's applied to Jesus? Seems like a stretch.

Also proskuneo is the same word used when Cornelius tried to worship Peter and he refused it.

How would you interpret this verse? To me it's clear Jesus is saying the Father lives in him.

10Don't you believe that I am in the Father, and that the Father is in me? The words I say to you are not just my own. Rather, it is the Father, living in me, who is doing his work. (John 14:10)

Good point. I would lean toward using the word God.:D

Once again. How can the word proskuneo be tranlated 40 times as "worship" and then suddenly be changed to "honor" the 15 times it applies to Jesus? It seems the only reason the word is taken as obeisance is because of a preconcieved notion that Jesus can't be God.
