I'd usually wrap it in tin foil and put it in an insulated jar, then put it in a drawer. That's how I've been doing it for years, but I was wondering if there was a better way. Any ideas?
I'm not a fan of tin foil. I know many people use it but long term I was told it can affect potency. I've only seen a few older hippies do this but I store it wrapped in magazine paper. Like the glossy stuff not standard newspaper. The things that are going to destroy your LSD are heat, oxygen, and light. Room temperature or short exposure to heat is fine. If it was not it would be pretty hard for people to sell LSD at festivals in the summer time. I have personally tested this and stored LSD in the low 70's Fahrenheit in a CD case in a drawer for years and it is still potent. I've found oxygen will kill it much quicker. Like in that same storage but exposed to oxygen it's very weak. The freezer is the trusted storage method and it does work great if you do it properly and are careful to not fluctuate the temperature too much. LSD is fragile and that affects the chemical structure. But I go overboard with my LSD storage. I've been told I worry too much and in the old days people used to just throw a hit in their wallet and forget about it. It would still be good when they remembered it. But better safe then sorry in my opinion. However, it's probably true that most LSD the end user gets has been through several hands before they get it. Who knows how well those dealers handled it and who knows how long ago the LSD was manufactured. It's sometimes safer and easier to cook up a large amount at once then perhaps nothing happens for a while. It could easily be enough to supply your networks for a while and it keeps the chemist safe. We are talking about a drug where even 100 grams goes farther then any other drug.
