my best friends dad commited suicide, she was just fourteen, it is the ultimate selfish act.
it effects everyone around you, a dent in the lives of the family and friends of the person, it will always be with you. there have been times when i have wanted to end my life, but after he did it, i will never do it, ive seen how it hurts people and ruins lifes.

I think about hanging myself.. . but I wouldnt ... I have kids, and nice teeth.

 

That's what I was told repeatedly back when I was suicidal.
My answer? You forcing me to live another day with the inner torment of clinical depression- just so you're spared the pain of my death... that's the most selfish act of all.

Why am I no longer suicidal? It wasn't the 10-12 physicians I saw or their futile treatments. It wasn't all the useless medications the doctors gave me: {Geodon, Zoloft, Seroquel, Lamictal, Welbutrin, Klonopin, Ativan, Valium, zyprexa, carbatrol, sodium valproate, provigil, Cymbalta, effexor, 5-htp, B-complex, grape seed extract, St. john’s wort, omega-3 complex, chlorella sorokiniana, L-tyrosoine, co-q-10, and flax seed oil.}

No, I had to figure it all out for myself:

Everybody in the world has naturally occurring chemicals in their brain called endorphins. Endorphins are ( molecularly)

We all need endorphins to regulate mood, and keep from getting intolerably depressed. Some people, like myself, have an endorphin deficiency. This is a torturous, often fatal condition... but can be easily cured. We merely need to take endorphins (=opiates) from an external source to feel 'normal' like everyone else.
I don't have a drug problem, I have a drug solution. Oxycontin works, but a much safer opioid called buprenorphine is a preferable treatment for many reasons.

I know the way I'm going to die will definetly be my own choice. Since I was like 10 years old I always said I was going to jump off the Grand Canyon. That way I go out with a bang, ya know? And as I fall I'm going to scream out "PICKLES!!!!!!" because I'm 99 percent sure no one else's last words have ever been pickles..

After going on a huge homicidal killing spree, when the cops finally catch up to me, I'm gonna swallow a huge vial of Ricin. I think for me it's the idea that I am in control of my life, of when I die. I don't want to be taken by another human, or by Death himself, I want it to be by my hands. I'm not "suicidal" by what society describes it as, because I've never tried to kill myself, but, I do know that I am the one who I want to take my life.

 

i'd go to the Carribbean, rent a boat. mp3 played and guitar in hand. and shoot some heroin as i float peacefully off to sea. (at sunset)

 

Control of one's life is a really common reason people commit suicide or one of the really common reasons actually. People who commit suicide do it for several reasons, and that is one of the big ones.

 

I wouldn't do it, but if I did, it would be in a blaze of glory. I'd fuck up some bad corporate guy or a corrupt politician. Boo yaa.
