it used to really irritate me when people would try to tell me that the song of songs was supposed to only represent christ's love for the church. okay, fine, if it's just an allegory for christ's love, then he's one horny beast. man, that was annoying. take one of the most beautiful sexual texts ever written, then nueter it. because sex is bad! some of the psalms are some of the finest poetry ever written....parables also can be inspiring
