Long time no post Good song but I think I would have been more incline to choose a song like Hotel California by the Eagles, Stairway to Heaven by Led Zeppelin, Hey Jude by the Beatles, or perhaps Kiss from a Rose by Seal Hotwater
did you come back to HF after years away just to post this song? don't get me wrong, i'm liking the song, but i can't imagine hearing it and thinking "i need to go show this to those people i used to talk to 3 years ago." it's good to see you anyway. i really don't like the concept of "best song." it's so subjective and situational. that said, the songs that the radio stations claim to be "best songs" are usually some of the worst.
True but when you hear a song like Hotel California by the eagles you just know it's the best. Hotwater
You've lost that loving feeling made the most money of any pop song. Now don't get me wrong I would say before anyone that money dosnt mean shit but being that best sounds can't be measured...one thing that can be measured is money.
the last unicorn, as sung by amadia. though of course her no quite human, and the dawning of the age of furtopia are on the short list for this honor. for something more people are likely to have heard as well as heard of, i would recomend lenen's "imagine" as song either by him, or fox amore's cover of it. hundreds of honorable mentions of course, including kimberly bass' buffalo's eye, and lorina mccennitt's mummer's song, and then there are thousands of 'tunes' without lyrics which i listen to even more.
Bollocks to all that. This is the greatest song of all time. And I'm about to go down the pub. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MdW1YrHDur0
Trying to think of some nasty rap lyrics in the spirit of the natural food lifestyle of antithesis and Euell Gibbons. Hmm. How about: Yo mama be such a wannabe whore. Picked stinging nestle at the age of twelve. Didn't feel the prick til she be twenty-four.
Hey Jude, Hotel California, and Stairway to Heaven are three of the top long, drawn-out toilet songs of all time. Especially Stairway with its constipated-sounding vocals.
Antithesis, hi! Wonder how you are doing from time to time? How is the job, are you still at Crater Lake? And everything else?
stairway would probably be alright if it weren't so overhyped. i'm not really a zeppelin fan, and it's not even one of their better songs, but overall i don't mind it other than the fact that it's randomly labeled greatest song ever. hey jude is another one that i don't mind, but it's probably at the low end of the beatles song list. but, i didn't realize it was supposed to be especially good either. hotel california is one of the worst songs ever, with absolutely no redeeming qualities.
They're all long, drawn-out tunes which lend themselves well to listening to while on the thrown, which is why DJ's refer to them as 'toilet tunes' (which is what I was referring to in the previous post).
