Agreed, Several Species of small fury Animals Gathered together in a cave and Grooving with a Pict is one of the most imagenitive and Far-out songs ever,

and the live disk is also one of the best...

Best phsycedelic album I've heard has got to be "Spirit" by Spirit.

Oh.. well this is an easy one. piper at the gates of dawn! man I LOVE the song flaming...it's like flying into another world...like a land where everythings just spaced out...it's crazy!...I also think the 13th floor elevators: psychedellic sounds of the thirteenth floor elevators is pretty awsome. I just got MOJO magazine and there was a cd that came with it that had a bunch of british psychedellic song with banmds like donovan and the move and tomorrow...it's incredible! After bathing at baxters is very good too

You've GOTTA dig up "Space Ritual" by Hawkwind...if this album doesn't blow your cerebral cortex wide open, nothing will.

There's two much stuff all around... I've got too many bands in mind right ...i need a 2nd brain man... ok i stop my inner chaos...and i choose a file...

    zzzzzzziiiipppp... (file n 28096)
Led Zep has done clearly a few album that we can call "Psychedelic" their first one... & Led Zep III & IV are quite psyche too...

It depends what people mean by psyche... a few records of mid 70's band were not clearly psyche ...but they were definitly influenced by marijuane and other psychedelic drugs and they were influenced by psych bands...and psych album...and it definitly partially influenced their sound
where is the borderline of psychedelic and no more psychedelic ?

For Ex. Black Sabbath, Aerosmith, & Blue Oyster Cult were at the begging of their carreer a little bit psychedelic...
An album can be heavy & includin' psych influences... too many people like to put bands and albums in one simple category... no brothers and sisters... music is complex...clear borderline don't exist ...

    In fact men like territory
Steal him his frontier and the politician panics ...and chaos will take control
    ...
Men like to say "this is mine" & "this is yours"... but i like what is in between ... in between is definitly territory of the wild natural laws...

There isn't one..most things mentioned so far are good..don't forget to check out newer psych (in a broad sense) bands Comets On Fire, Acid Mothers Temple and a bunch more.
Once you type these into your Google search you will unearth a heap of newer interesting bands to check out.
One of the cool things about these bands is that they still release stuff on the best format (VINYL) as well as cd.. great music in great packaging.
    explore

i like the word...explore... the explorators is a great name for a band...
I heard Comets on Fire... just one song... and it's good but probably too chaotic & heavy for me ...they seems to force the rock n roll cliché (with their singer screamin' more than singin')... even if i like other heavy & chaotic bands ... but they're quite good ... the Ends of their songs "graverobber" & "the Antlers of the Midnight Sun" are really good...

i like better Acid Mother Temple... i dig them... i put them in my list

And there's bands comin' from a whole d'ferent side of psychedelia... the "english" pop 67 kind of psychedelia...
a band like The Bees is really good in this kind of pop rock psychedelia... they are quite big in Europe and England ... their 2nd lp is really good...and the 3rd album will be released this summer...and u know what! they came from the Wight Island!!

I think I dig Comets On Fire because it is so instant..it grabbed me.(the first album that is)..I either do one of two things when playing records...play a side of each thing that I've picked up lately and just take in bits and piecers of them then go to the next one or leave one record on the turntable for a couple of days.
When I do the first one..things like Comets On Fire,High Rise whatever make an impact while others don't. This is where that sorta English psych comes in..for me it doesn't register at first..only on the "too lazy to change the record" days do I listen to it enough for it to make and impression. The same with jazzimpro stuff,singer/songwriter stuff and lots of other things..they need time to make an impression at my place.
I buy them and they sit around patiently waiting for their turn on the turntable.I'll check out The Bees when a record of theirs crosses my path.I'll search The Bees out on Google. Right now I'm curious about the whole "Wolf Eyes" Noise thing thats happening and some of the stoner rock stuff.
    going to work
    ..bye

Yehaaa it's often that when you listen a few times records... you really can be connected !
I buy a few month ago the 1st Captain Beyond album (old band)... and it impress me really hard when i listen to it first ...but then... no i was a bit disappointed...but it still clearly a very good album... but it's not often that an album make me this ...not often at all...in the usual way it grows

And for this i've got to admit that Comets on Fire are quite direct... this is direct stuff ... you like it directly ...it's my point of vue... i like them yes, ...maybe not at the same level as u... how it evolve ? Mystery, man...you know it better than me!

I was talkin' in the Rush saloon (forum) that we can even like Celine Dion with a few listen... this is the other bad side of the deal man (the side that u can't listen naturally)... but well i've got to admit that if Celine Dion probably gets better with a few listenin' it will never reach the worst Beatles records ! God, 4 this, i send u Thousand Thanx!!

in fact we can really open a forum about modern psychedelic band... but the problem will be that a lot of fan of old psychedelia will not have the curiosity ...to discover this other galaxy of new shinin' stars...
So maybe it's better to be a whole big fat family...!:D
