Best Movies While High (Parallel Thread)

March of the Penguins was actually really entertaining. I hadn't seen it before, I just decided to pop it in while I was doing my munchies-eating.

Who's seen the original Reefer Madness? Apparently they remade it as a musical or something?

 

All the old classic comedies are great when high. Airplane(my fav.), blazing saddles, hot shots, caddyshack, anything ever made by Monty Python(Holy Grail can be overdone though), the producers(original) and young frankenstein are all wonderfull(high or not).

 

Mel brooks=comedic genius. Monty Python is a riot stoned or sober, the Ministry of Silly Walks is one of my favoriite all time skits

I also love the Red Green show

 

I like serious and deep movies when I am high, but also the goofy stereotypical stoner movies. One of my favorites to watch stoned has always been "Legends Of The Fall". That movie is fookin wonderful. It's not a funny movie, at all, but it will leave you feeling very good because of the freedom that Brad Pitt's character has in the movie and the turmoil, loss, and despair he experiences throughout his life, though he eventually finds peace and comes to terms with his accomplishments and failures. He's also a badass mofo in that movie. haha

 

Wow, I thought NO ONE else had seen and loved that movie. It rocks.

 

Legends of the fall? Yeah it's great. One of my favorites of all time.

 

It doesn't even have a 7.0 on imdb, but I think you're actually the first person I've met who's seen it, and I know a bunch of movie buffs.

omg, pee wee is on. i think that show would just be scary if you were high. i don't have any right now so I can't check though...

 

I don't have anything either, because I have to take piss tests for jobs. I would like to watch peewee on shrooms. That'd be interesting.

 

You know, I hope noone has posted it yet, but my all time fav is Cheech & Chong: Still Smokin! They will always be muh ganja kings! Always!

I watched Fritz the Cat stoned once.. tripped me out really fuckin hard.

 

requiem for a dream, pi, cheech and chong, LOTR scenery, koyaanisqatsi, 2001: a space oddyssey. Those are my favs.

 

I watched A Scanner Darkly blazed last night and it was amazing, worth checking out.

 

That movie seems like it was made for tripping.

 

I watched both of those in the same day a few weeks ago, haha. Both amazing.

I really love the Bill Maher and George Carlin DVD's I have. Comedy and intellect are two of my favorite things, whether I'm high or not...

Bill Maher is a huge pothead, and he's very open and comical about it...I watched his HBO show Real Time when it was live on 4-20 one time and I was almost 100% positive he was high. His show's out of season now but it should be due back soon...

Bill Hicks was a great comedian too, and he's got some great dvds and videos out there. He was pretty open about his use of psychadelics and certain drugs too. You can download some of his stuff online or find it in certain off-the wall stores if your lucky.

 

I watched that about a year ago and it was breathtaking. Iv always loved movies with native american vibes to them.

 

Yeah I highly recommend it for anyone who hasn't seen it.
