If you could have the dream dog of your choice OR a lifetime or fresh made fried corndogs that didn't make you fat, what would you do?

For me.. I dunno. Haha. It'd be cool if the dog would stay alive with you all your life.. I'd definitely go the dog IF they were ordinary corndogs and not magical 0 calories which is a huge consideration at this point. You could also get many other dogs, maybe you grow out of dogs and no longer want your immortal friend. Pfff well you're not a real dog person! I would go with... The dog. Even if only lived average years. He'd be a working dog, a black GSD with fire in his eyes. I would call him.. Feueraugen. Fire eyed. Since he's my dream dog, he is also a magician and can shape shift. Basically, we rule the world and the known universe.

 

Well... in all seriousness: in reality you will only know a dog is/was your 'dream dog' when you have it. I think I had mine. So now im extremely hesitant to get a new one. I basically just still want my old one back.. So going with the same breed for instance (clearly my preference at first instance) is probably a setup for failure

I indeed wish my last dog was immortal. You don't grow out of your bond with your 'dream dog', impossible!

Lucky for me I have a Lab/Shephard mix and she is actually the best dog in the world

He was put to sleep feb 2018 and I still feel like that. So no new dog for me on the short term. Would also seem unfair to that new dog imo

when we move from germany to australia, my family kind of gave up on the dogs. we did not have land anymore, just a small house. One day my uncle send my dad a dog, and my dad was very unhappy. i was excited. we got our dog we named him Beau. he was around through my late teen years. i feel really guilty that i never spent much time with him when he was older. i was always out.. my gf, parties.... sometimes i also got the feeling he was upset with me. i dont like thi spost it makes me cry
