Pathetic Must be a stupid hick republican. How can I tell? I grew up as a country cowboy, in your neighborhood. Ya might even know my folks. I know where this is at. LOVE YOU ANYHOW. Hoping for you. Wishing you the best. Back to the subject matter, anyhow. ____________________________________ Career Do You speak English???????????????? Adobe InDesign. Layout books. There is only one of you. There are 1 thousand book publishers as real businesses on the planet. If you can spend a half hour, and do some on-line searches, looking for publishers, then you are the right type to do research. If you can look on-line to find the proper grammar or proper spelling for [everything] and you can be critically fussy, then you can make at least $15 – $20 an hour or more, being either a writer, an editor, or a book layout editor (if you have inDesign). Do you wish that you could work at home? Are you a dedicated self starter? If you can't be a self starter while working from home, then forget this. Being a mathematician (research professor or lecturer at a University) is a great hippy job. Not only do you spend all day talking and thinking about mind-expanding topics (mathematics is one of the most 'psychedelic' subject areas IMO), but a good amount of other mathematicians are of the laid-back, "thinker" type. It is never a dull day in the math department. I am only a graduate student, but I still am a part of the overall culture, albeit the lowest tier!
Having a day job allows me to keep playing in our classic geezer band (58-63 year olds), keeping the vibe alive for good people who are enjoying their sixties memories

I worked to pay the bills. My life as a volunteer over 40 years, working in missions, and soup kitchens. That is where my heart tis. Over 40 years of helping the homeless, filling out their paper work, driving them to appointments, being an advocate for women in crisis, letting them use my address [when I had a house] giving them clothes and a meal. Someone once told me ,"Don't give them any money." (panhandlers and homeless) Once I give it to you, you are responsible for what you do with the $ hopefully if you need a high to get through the day, so be it. If you need tobacco, food, remember it is a gift.
