Best 'Hippy' Careers?

i am currently doing the janitor thing and on wensday nightmy pal bring his intrement and i bring mine and we jam and drink rossi in one of the satalite offices of the campus, its good times

~Jay - (about your previous post, you may not be crazy because i messed up and posted it twice, once on the 'introduce yourself' thread and once on 'hippies'. - Take it easy on me though, it was the first thread that i started...) That sounds very nice... I'm truly jealous. Actually right now i right to you from my desk at my job - working for 'the man'... Argh. I really need a change... Thanks for replying to give me something to take my mind of my job. Things could be a whole lot worse though, so i'm thankful... I actually have a job lined up working the night shift with my boyfriend at a warehouse (Petco to be more specific). I think that will be better because it's mostly independent work that can be done at your own pace... I don't think i'll be lucky enough to sneak my guitar in as you are though. (I'm so jealous, but i'm more happy for you)... Peace.

 

Ah good, allways good to know that i shouldent be seeking professional help, seems like a nice job to sit at a comp and be able to post on the boards and read ect. and you might be able to get away with your guitar at desginated break times, im sure the other workers wouldent mind some nice tunes

 

If you're looking for a satisfying hippy career, become an astrologer; its really cosmic to understand life from a planetary point of view, and you get sooo much insight into your life,destiny,patterns, psychology etc.

~Jay - Thanks for the advice... I've thought of doing that before, but i just don't feel comfortable enough to do so at work. I think if i did bring in my guitar that the reaction would not be positive and just give people a reason to bitch at me... Thanks though! - The way i see it nowadays is that i have less than a month there, so i'm just trying to keep the remainder of my time employed there peaceful.

~Jules the Astrologer - I'm actually really into Astrology (if you couldn't tell by my screenname) and was thinking about becoming as astrologer for a really long time. I stopped wanting to though becaue, after much much thought, i decided that i'm not really sure if i believe in it. I do find it very interesting and find that a lot of the people of different signs do sometimes have the supposed personality traits their sign is supposed to have; but i'm just not 100% sure, if you get what i'm trying to say... I do find it very interesting though but i just don't want to choose a career based upon something that i'm not even sure i believe in... I do find it very cool though that you went into astrology... (i bet it really helps you pick up the ladies! - Kidding).

(Just so you know the actual chances of me telling that to my boss are slim to none, but i really hope that i don't 'wuss-out' and actually let him have it... - I have the 'fuck you i quit!' speech all played out in my head already... I run a partition business. i don't own it and I have a boss, but I'm left alone and I take care of all the office stuff from ordering material to running payroll to collections - everything! I do just fine here and can take the stuff I learned anywhere.

I think of course the best way to believe astrology is to get your chart read by a professional astrologer(its worth it); I first got mine done when I was 21 by some hippies I shared a house with back in 1989. I was doing a lot of acid back then and it so blew my mind! I starting reading books back then in order to start to get it.

well i used to think a lot on those lines, but i was totally taken with astrology after that time.
i didn't decide to go pro. until a few years ago and I'm working on my astrology diploma now.

I guess i'm writing this because as it goes your an aquarian, which is the sign that rules astrology, along with the planet Uranus, so being into astrology should come fairly naturally to you.

Anyway as I said, get your chart done by a qualified pro. astrologer;
it'll be a shamanic and mind opening experience:
not only that, but they can give clear and accurate guidance as to a
career direction,
relationships,
money,
love,
health,
general life direction and destiny...
which sounds like that could be good for you
( if you're looking for a suitable hippy career)

so do yourself a favour and look for a good one:get a tape of your session.
It beats all religions (its majik,divination and invocation) because it gave birth to them all, its the originator! from 2500Bc anyway...

I really have wanted to get my chart done very badly, but i was adopted at age 10 and so have no in depth birth records or anything - i only know the date and year... I guess that everyone's idea of what a 'hippy' is though are all pretty different, so their ideas of what a 'hippy' would enyoy doing for a living would also be pretty different... - Looking at every conversation i've ever had i'm not just glad that everyone has different opinions about things, but also glad that everyone has different definitions of things... - Life is much more interesting this way!

 

~Well everyone - I quit my horrible fucking job today and am going out to celebrate because for the first time in far far too long, I actually don't have to open at 7:30am on a Saturday or Sunday!!! I'm so so pleased... I'm gonna go get shitty!!! (In case you're wondering about my present state of unemployment, I do have another job ligned up, but i don't start until February 20th. (Two days after i turn 18)
