What is communism in this poll? What marx described; a great society, or what happened in the ussr and china. And democracy and republic aren't styles of governmemnt.
yeh but don't you believe in workers control and stuff? I mean are you one of these captialist anrchists? Or a more traditional leftward leaning anarchist?
democracy comes in many forms, democracy can exist in some forms of anarchist states, communist states, capitalist states. its a very poor term to use.
Actually, the truest form of Democracy IS Anarchism. Obviously the U.S. is not a Democracy in ANY sense. The illusion of it still remains, but is rapidly diminishing before our very eyes, yet still so many fail to see it.
anarchy in its best form i must say. very similar to communism. anyone realize that yiou can get a democratic communist republic?
service state annonymoous. not one of the options. it means social coordination to maintain useful tangable infrastructure, prevent people from starving, freezing or beating each other over the head, while remaining otherwise out of sight and out of mind. the actual internal structure of a government fallowing this pattern is of no other pertenance then to insure that it continues to do so. probably a good idea to avoid investing authority in individuals. any authority in any individuals. and there IS a way of doing this. there may even be several or many. to the best of my knowledge no current government on earth fallows this pattern but i suspect out there, in the civilized galaxy, it is by far and away the most dominant. indeed can any true civilization be said to exist otherwise? there certainly hasn't been one on this earth yet. =^^= .../\...
A Republic. The American public is to stupid to make policy decisions. Which is why our current form of government is far better than a true democracy....if that even exists.
There's no such Country. I'd love to say none out of spite, but I'm probably going to stick with democracy. Worst form of government, except for all the others. I don't remember who said that, but I think he was important. Those who think Anarchism is fun should take a boat ride to Somalia. There are farious forms of political philosophy such as Anarcho-syndicalisim which you might want to look under, but Anarchy is such a matter of no rule of law, hoping for small scale community relations. I like laws though. Order is good, Anarchy is chaos, no matter what some 15 year olds may wan't to argue. Communism is forced redistribution of all property and assets to communal property. It's not only theft in principle, but usually leads to some government with a lot of money and very few essential services. Stalinism... Maoism. Socialism is redistribution of wealth for public welfare, and in some senses, is very good, welfare, food stamps, highways. Some of the systems you listed are not mutually exclusive, and some aren't forms of government. Monarchy is only good if I'm calling the shots.
Socialism seems kinda cool, imagine a government in which no one needs to worry about health care or where their next meal comes from, and the resources are distributed evenly throughout the population, pretty wild... ...as for anarchy, that seems great in theory, right? I mean everyone's got the right to do whatever the hell they want, how cool is that? Only problem is, this "Utopian" idea is based on the premise that people are just, fair, and compassionate by nature, and we all know that aint true... ...no, unfortunately because people suck, they need some form of supervision, otherwise you'll end up with a few thugs hording all the resources... ...wait a minute, isn't that what we have now? Reagan (and Bush) basically declared economic anarchy, and millions of people got screwed. Luckily we have some accountability, so Ken Lay, and all the scum like him are accountable for their crimes... nope, anarchy isn't the answer...
