    i had trouble picking...
I think its really a toss up between Quebec city & vancouver...
Depending what you look for in a city
the weather in vanny is nice, but the culture in quebec is interesting
but i dono. Its hard to really chose. Canada is soo large and diverse

Weed isnt LEGAL. Maybe if you have a doc's card or something, but most places have that.

Any city that isnt toronto is a good city, which is a shame since i live 45minutes away.

I live north of Toronto in Barrie, but Barrie is to small, and Toronto is to much. I spend a day there, and I'm ready to leave. I don't think I could handle living there.
Never lived in the other cities stated though.

legal to have under an O on you, not legal to smoke it public but in your own home is fine, cops can not legally charge you with any thing if you are just walking down the street with 5g on you( as long as you aren't selling)

I've mostly lived in Ontario, I lived in Quebec when I was younger. Montreal and some other place I was too young to remember.
Montreal wasn't bad, but really big and busy, much like Toronto, both good to visit, not the best to live in.
I also lived in London, North Bay, Barrie, Orillia, and now Oakwood.
I liked pretty much everywhere I've lived. North Bay was good to me(though freezing).
London wasn't bad either, not much to say for it though.
Barrie was pretty good to me, I lived in and out of it, mostly between Toronto, London and Barrie.
I have to say the worst I've been to is hands down Orillia. I know there's worse, but it's pretty bad there, a lot of stabbing, and it's just a really sketchy place, most of it anyway.
A friend of mine has lived there for four years, been stabbed three times. Two were random.
Oakwood seems all right so far, really, really small.

For living, I’m not sure, Barrie’s alright, depending on where you live it can be nice. North Bay was fun.
Toronto isn’t that great, everything’s always busy, not overly great to hang out.

I wouldnt call it legal, they still take it, give you some sort of paper work, the usual bullshit. Even if you arent selling, chances are they dont care. If you could flash a bag of dope infront of a cop, then it would be legal.

they would have no grounds to charge you with anything and unless you're breaking some city bylaw then they can make you fill out any paper work or give you a fine but all i know is in richmond hill kids smoke freely and openly and as long as they dont cause trouble the cops dont care. ive seen 6 kids smoking under a tree right beside a very busy intersection and no one cared not even cops, that kinda stuff happens all the time. (unless u get stopped by the mounties, well then you're fucked lol)

Thats because richmond hill is stuck up rich, and home to mostly foreigns. Ive heard from experience that most cops in the toronto area are currupt, by usually just taking peoples dope, and selling it themselves.

    Corner Brook > st. johns

Anyways, I originally checked Vancouver, although, however nice it is in Vancouver, Montreal trumps all for me.
    Love the people there.

I rather like Barrie for the reasons you mentioned. Perhaps it's that I grew up rurally outside of Barrie that I can appreciate its urbanity, even though it's small. (Holy crap, it's growing though. Last time I was there I got lost in a part of town that didn't exist before!)

So you've got your urban basics. A water front with a killer statue. A short jaunt to Wasaga and surrounding beaches. And not too far from Toronto where you can do 'big city' things. Worked well for me. :)

I think Halifax and Montreal would be my city picks.
