I started watching Q of S then other day and lost interest after 15 minutes, all action and no story. Not my idea of a Bond film. I like most of the others.

    1. Goldeneye has the best car chase ever with the tank. Remember seeing it in the cinema totally tripping they actually had a car chase involving a tank

    2. Live and let die

    3. Living daylights is very underated

    The Spy who loved me.

    1. Best Bond.
    2. Best Bond-henchman (Jaws, a legend. The only Bond-villain, whom Bond failed to kill.).
    3. Best bond-car (the submarine Lotus)
    4. Okay Bond-girls who, unlike many other bond-girls weren't completely defenseless.
    5. Not too ridiculous Bond-villain. Karl Stromberg's operation to start a nuclear war actually felt disturbingly real. He was a legit threat.
    6. Good script.

Before you crucify me for defending Roger Moore, consider this: James Bond is but a cartoon character anyway. Moore's slightly comedic, light-hearted style of portraying him feels very fitting, because who takes Bond seriously anyway? Not to mention, Roger Moore in his life was the quintessential English gentleman, making him most fitting for the part of a suave English spy.

I didn't care very much for the movie, but I will give kudos to the theme song by Carly Simon.....................as for Roger Moore he was great in Live and Let Die.

Diamonds are Forever was quite socially progressive for its time. Two gay sadistic henchmen and a Blofeld being a transvestite.

I agree that the early ones like Dr. No and Goldfinger were the best. Not so much dependence on special effects or gimmicks. I enjoyed the books, and the early ones followed the books fairly closely.

It's between Golden Eye & Dr. No.

Loved when Connery said "I promise not to steal your shells" in 'Dr. No' and when he said "immediately... almost immediately"! Oh God he's so good with the women!
