I may have cheered this morning when I heard it announced on the news. Our 46th president :)

It's a little different this go round with more progressives in the race versus 2016 when it was just him and an almost universally disliked establishment candidate. But I do think he'll serve to keep the Democrats focused on important policies that will better the lives of the middle class and poor, rather than getting caught up in the mudslinging, misinformation, and bullshit propaganda coming from the right.

Pretty much guarantees Trump gets a second term

Your understanding of US politics is poor.

Trump has record low approval numbers. Sanders had high numbers in 2016 and early reports say they are even higher now. Trump is unlikely to get any voter he did not have in 2016 probably less. It's likely Sanders will gain voters. Socialism is even less of a dirty word than 2016

And this all assumes Trump is not impeached before.

I agree that this will be the factor that gives Trump a second term and maybe a third too. (Doing away with the 22nd Amendment)

I know at least one youngster who was a Bernie fan that voted for Trump out of anger that Bernie had lost in the primary.

And Trump's 40 +or- % will swim swollen rivers to vote. The other 60% may or may not show up.

I'm just hoping that Weld, or anyone else, will be in the GOP primary, if that party even allows one. The best hope for the country is for everyone registered DEM or NPA to change to GOP for the primary and defeat this mentally ill man before the general election. And now that Bernie has declared, his people won't.

He's roughly the same age as Trump and shows much better physical health. I think you are falling for partisan traps. With age comes wisdom.

  12. And old habits! But you're right about Bernie, he's in great shape. Have you seen him run around DC?

No, I have not heard anything about his exercise routine. Even if he does he's an old man and past his physical prime. I'm more interested in his mental capacity. Like I notice when he speaks he uses a much different vocabulary compared to Trump. Trump speaks at the lowest educational level of a president in something like 100 years. So a time before many people had the benefit of going to school past the 7th grade.

Bernie was getting arrested during the civil rights movement for standing up for what is right.
When a reporter asks him a question even a tough one he gives an answer to that question. He does not call them fake or an enemy. He's an ally of the people and the most genuine caring politician I have seen in my life. This is why I support him.

    I donated my $27 :)

I dont plan on voting for anyone in the primary who cant run an entirely citizen funded campaign as I think campaign financing is one of the biggest problems with Washington. So, gonna put my money where my mouth is and donate $27 a pay period

I like him, he's brilliant, and quite humble. But, I don't agree with his political views. I'm sort of in the middle, when it comes to the political spectrum.
