Damn, i feel like a bitch now, i just looked it up on the dmv site and it says that its not prohibited. Sorry i sounded so sure I got that info from my dad and he was sure about it, i know it used to be the law. But yeah next time i am i won't be so sure about something unless i know it from a real document.

Don't worry about it. Just out of curiousity, where did you find it on the DMV site? I didn't spend a lot of time there, but nothing jumped out at me.

Don't be too hard on your dad. I'm 50 and still have a lot of friends my age who are shocked when they hear that driving barefoot is legal. It was a big urban myth that we were raised with. Unless they've had a reason to pursue it, there's no way one would know barefoot driving is legal.

when I looked at your feet I didn't think they looked dirty or gross at all! Everyone should be able to feel comfortable being barefoot in public. there's nothing wrong with your feet.
