body hair helps the fibers from your shirt sneak into your bellybutton. it's not critical to the process and midriff bearing shirts help quite a lot.
grey looking? My cartilege and nose piercings have all closed up now, but if you look closely you can still see the hole for my old monroe piercin, but it is tiny and not usable.

yes. somehow the skin that had the jewelry rubbing against it turned grey. i'm not sure if it was cause of previously wearing tarnished silver in it (would have been long ago) or if the stainless steel somehow caused it... but it looks gross. i don't know what the deal is.

i have that grey problem from one of the holes I had in my body. I thought it was from dead skin and scarring. The metal doesn't explain mine as I never had metal in it. Just plastic.
