America was great back then; we had the best education system in the world, our ability to grow foods, make building materials, etc., was unmatched in the world... until politicians and lobbyist groups started fucking with everything and now, we're a mere shadow of our former greatness and with a POTUS who is doing a great job of trashing what's left of our greatness. Republicans were assholes in the 1950s and they're still assholes in 2025 and at every turn, they've tried to turn back the clock on America and like doing so can recapture what life was life here when, nope, all they really want to do is recapture the moments and other things that made RWAs rich and at the expense of everyone who wasn't rich then... and now.

And they still haven't realized or understood that there's no going back to the way it was. As I just saw in a news story, "Hate Doesn't Make America Great" and it never did but the cultists believe that it does and, well, it's one of those things that I understand but I don't understand because the mindset defies both logic and common sense. They don't seem to understand how certain things work, i.e., if you take something away, you have to replace it with something that'll serve the purpose of the thing you took away. Like in cooking and you have foods that have fat, salt, sugar, and gluten removed but many of them don't put anything back, so you wind up with foods that are unappetizing to look at and they taste horrible.

These sorry motherfuckers want to take America backwards and without replacing the things they're removing from our society with something that, again and in fact, will make things better for all of us which, by the way, the RWAs don't give a fuck about. All this tariff shit happening - and as I've been reading, it's illegal because only Congress has the power to levy tariffs but, oh, yeah - the law doesn't apply to him - is making somebody rich and at the expense of Americans everywhere. They've been wanting to cut and/or eliminate all of the things the government does to help its citizens because they want that money for themselves and they figure that we don't need the money or the programs it supports and... this is no different that the shit they used to do in the 1950s and forcing America to have to recover from Republicans making us take two steps back at every time they have the political clout.

I didn't worry about that all that much back in the day and I'm not going to worry about it all that much now and, once more, especially where my being bisexual is concerned.

Nearly everything that comes out of DC is nothing but hot air. The affordable health care is bullshit. When I tried to get it my yearly deductible was going to be $5000 a year before it would even pay for a doctor visit. Yeah like that's affordable.

I'm 73 years old and the only thing that has effected me is the raising of the standard dedication for income taxes. I now don't have to keep track of all the money I spend on the things I used to.

Nothing much is going to change and 20 years from now no one will care.

Rumor has it that he wants to make America white again by repealing the Civil Rights Act and any other laws that prohibits discrimination. What we should be worried about is a government that appears to be doing little or nothing to stop him from doing what he's doing since, duh, none of this benefits Americans or America outside of the RWAs. Now, having said all of this, you have a choice: You can let this bullshit bother you and otherwise affect your life - and your sex life (if you have one) or you can choose not to buy into the bullshit and keep trying to live your life as best as you can, get your dick hard, and let others make it soft again - and just like bi- and homosexuals have been doing all along.

It's not so much of a saying as it is something we're all told we should learn to do: Learn from our mistakes. It's not that you make mistakes because everyone does; it's what you do after the mistake is made that will make all the difference and, hopefully, you won't make the same mistake again. It's also why we learn the lesson of the scorpion, too, so that we don't make fatal mistakes and, well, you see what happens when we don't learn from our mistakes and give the scorpion a ride even though, in the end, it's going to stab us after it lies and says that it won't.
