hi, im looking for advise on what its like being a girl, ive been taking hormones now for 6 months and have started getting boobs, i dress in girls cloths all the time and even go out in them, im starting to save as i do want to be a girl, any help please
Being a 'girl' or woman, as most of us like to be called, goes way beyond all the physical stuff that you have mentioned. My biggest suggestion is to read books/blogs on women, women's issues and feminism.
Guy sorry this is off topic but can anyone tell me how to post new one ! And message ppl ? I am new here
You won't be able message anyone until you hit 20 posts. At the top of each forum should be a New Topic button.
I googled this: http://www.google.com/search?safe=off&site=&source=hp&ei=XKaNU9W2F6PJsQTrkoKAAQ&q=transgender+forum+boards&oq=transgender+forum&gs_l=mobile-gws-hp.1.3.0l5.3118.15427.0.17964.22.21.1.9.9.2.432.5341.0j1j15j4j1.21.0....0...1c.1.45.mobile-gws-hp..2.20.2882.3.zGzA20y8YMs#q=transgender+life+as+a+female&safe=off You can get lots of different perspectives elsewhere in addition to here on hf. Just wait a while and you will get more responses here though. I don't know what you are going through or how you feel. I can only imagine. I used to work with a girl that used to be (physically) a male. We talked a lot about her transition, but I never asked if she had regrets nor did I ask about what it was like to be a female. You might also try googling "transgender success", "transgender success stories", "transgender failures", "transgender difficulties", "transgender forum". http://www.religioustolerance.org/transsexu13.htm http://ai.eecs.umich.edu/people/conway/TSsuccesses/TSsuccesses.html http://usatoday30.usatoday.com/news/health/2009-02-24-transgender-penner_N.htm?POE=click-refer http://www.experienceproject.com/stories/Want-To-Reverse-Sex-Reassignment-Surgery/1608417 http://retransition.org/2013/10/detransition-transsexual-regret-personal-story/ http://www.tgboards.com/
I assume by midlands you mean midlands UK, hopefully not tasmania. Still, try to make the move to somewhere more cosmopolitan, thats probably the most important thing
Laura's Playground is a really good trans website. I used the forums there for most of my transition. They cover all areas of transition and have a lot of educational stuff and some chat rooms. And they offer much love. http://forum.lauras-playground.com/forums/index.php?app=core&module=global§ion=login
