Behind Closed Doors...

What ever happened with Bush and Cheney testifying to the 9/11 commision behind closed doors? I have not seen one news program report it at all, i guess there is no way to report it without making Bush and Cheney look like a bunch of lying, fascist, assholes.

Reality Check:

Even if they would testify... it would still be "behind closed doors", which does not allow media expolsure.

That's what i'm saying, they already did testify, behind closed doors, and they refused to have any of the dialogue written down, and they refused to be filmed, what im asking is how come the media didnt jump on this and start asking questions like "why did they do it behind closed doors? if they had nothing to hide, then they wouldnt be afraid to have it written down, televised, and in the public".

Have you ever seen what the Media does to a courtroom?

 

Well, Condoleeza Rice had to testify on television, with camera's everywhere, so why shouldn't Bush and Cheney have to? After all, they are in an even higher position then Condoleeza Rice is in, If they have nothing to hide, then they should be more then happy to testify before the american public, instead of hiding away like little cowards...

This administration has taken secrecy and unaccountability to new heights, but then what can anyone expect from administration which has reinstated convicted felons from Reagan/Bush Sr. days and which regularly takes its policy cues from ultra right wing think tanks like the Heritage Foundation and American Enterprise Institute (not to mention from our arch-war criminal himself, Henry Kissinger)?

 

BraveSirRubin...If a Democratic president and vice president were in office, and they were the ones who needed to testify in front of the 9/11 commission on whether or not they could have stopped the attack on 9/11, and they testified behind closed doors, with no media coverage or manuscript, the republicns would have a field day, they would probably even bring up impeachment on them and have it on 24/7 on every media outlet. But of course with the right wing media machine, they were able to do this with no problems...
