weihenstephen dont make the best beers but the taste....to me it tastes like they use the best water in their beers.

well BA ranking and what i taste are two different things, if your going to say im wrong then you have to use a more specific comparison like specific styles....although i am an hour away from any store that carries it so its not worth my gas money to get it to do a taste test.

damn that is some harsh shit. not bad tasting but wayyyy to hard.

 

just was at the store...miller has a new beer called "fortune" so i see a new beer i have to try it.

it taste just like miller lite but it has 6.9% abv. i guess they are going for that new fad that icehouse edge and natty daddy started with the high alcohol light beers. dont know it this one is considered light but it taste like it.

 

Had two pints of Doom Bar at lunch but didn't want any more."Doom Bar" refers to a bank of sand that boats would get stranded on off the Cornish coast,not some gothy doomy bar,by the way.

 

saw you post a pic of the label made me wonder what kind of beer it was. looks like it would be a regular lager from what i saw.

 

No it's a beer.And a good one at that.

 

a lager is a type of beer and they can be good or bad...i wouldnt think you would have had 2 if it were bad.....although i did just yesterday see more than one person have 2 pbr's

In England,beer is beer,like "ale".Lager is the yellow pissy stuff which I don't drink anymore.

 

you could have just said no this is good stuff...i guess you did kinda say that but on this thread there is always the chance that someone drinks the yellow stuff...there are black lagers though.

 

No offense pensfan.Just to say that in the UK we have problem with what we call "Lager louts",the kind of people who get violent at football matches.I just went off lager several years ago.I find proper beer to be a much smoother,satisfying and tastier beverage.

 

no offense taken, i agree. but my only problem with people that complain about beer is they dont know how many different kinds of beer there are. just one small example. a guy i work with says he dosnt like beer or any alcohol because the taste but he drinks coffee.
meanwhile i had a beer that tastes exactly like coffee.
my point was its easy to generalize your beers but dont stereotype them.

 

I admit I'm no beer connoisseur.But I know what I like.
