Well I guess that kinda makes sense, well actually it doesn’t, but it’s still a great song albeit tragic with such a large loss of life - mostly children.
I had my record player hooked up to a Radio Shack timer and this 45 to wake me up every morning when I was studying engineering at University of Toronto...
I guess I discovered the Bee Gees in 1997 with "Alone" then bought one of their Best Of albums and learned just how many of their songs I already knew but didn't realize they were the original artist and/or composer
Classic 60's and 70's pop! The Saturday Night Fever soundtrack is one of the best selling LP's in history! My mother used to play their early stuff on 45's back in the early 70's. Their music is timeless.
theres a lot of great documentaries on the bee gees and i was watching some of those lately. i wish people would talk more about the soul musicians who were doing the disco falsetto before them though
Late to the Bee Gees party but I'm a huge fan now. Like a lot of people, I only knew their disco hits. But I found a great documentary called "In Our Own Time" which got into their work from the 60s and how they were contemporaries of the Beatles. I can definitely hear it in their first half dozen albums. Amazing stuff
