Are you sure it's less than two miles? What with there being one main entry gate only, on the other side not facing the station, someone predicted the walk to be about six miles... Not that I mind walking that far...but if you know a shortcut, spill!
The wobbly jaw would never miss a great weekend, and he's already packed for Beautiful Days. He hasn't brought any jaw wobblers, but is sure he'll find something to make him wobbly at the festival....
The walk is easy but last year there was a steward on the roadway entrance whose job it was to stop anyone walking the quickest route from the station, a public right of way I might add So best to use the footpath across the fields. Basically turn right when you get out of the station, walk down the road a bit and look out for the footpath / right of way on the left.
Cheers, Showmet Hey everybody - Kat just phoned me. She'd got to the tree that the UK forum set up camp at last year, but it was kind of noisy. Sal wasn't picking up and Jonny was lost, so she called me. I said sure, go ahead. After all, how much noise can a tree make?
Short of a miracle I'm very unlikely to be going now .... I went to visit my grandad today and found him laying half unconscious ... called an ambulance and it turns out he's had a stroke. The doctor says he might not make it through the next 24 hours so I've got to be there for him.
Thanks people ... it's not looking good here. He's got pneumonia as a complication caused by not being able to swallow and breathing in stomach fluids ... the next day or 2 are sort of critical
Sorry to hear about your grandad, Paul. And sorry you missed the festie. I was looking forward to meeting you.
Likewise ... However some things just have to take priority. It turns out he was lying semi-conscious for at least 30 hours when i found him Anyway he's now stable ... he's very poorly and paralysed almost everywhere except one arm ... he can't speak or swallow either but he seems to be fighting through the pneumonia. We just have to see what the doctors and physio-types can do for him in the way of rehabilitation. I knew I got my stubborness from somewhere.
