    Anyway, what's the estimated amount of brown bears in the alps now? I think there are still some left in other parts of central Europe right?

    I think so. But even then some comrades want to burn their houses down.



    I think the Carpathian Mountains host a few and maybe other areas. But I don't know numbers.

    This is a little shout for Bear Mountain, New York it is in Bear Mountain State Park. and I'm betting receives more visitors annually than all of the other Bear Mountains combined.

    It is at the point where the Appilachian Trail crosses the Hudson River on a bridge and is the lowest point in elevation on the entire trail.
