Be honest. What was the first thought you had when you found out your spouse was cheating?

My wife's cheating occurred before we married and were in college. She was free to date others since I was at another college and only saw her once or twice a month. She was not free to have sex with them. I suspected she did, but did not know for sure until she told me after we married. She had lots of sex in college, while I was waiting for our wedding night to have first sex with her. My reaction when I found out? Too late to be jealous or angry, so I decided to enjoy her stories. That has worked great for us.

 

Only really had one gf I know of that cheated on me. I was a smitten 22 year old and it crushed me. I wasn’t that curious as to who but why? She had led me to believe we were it for each other. First time in my short life I just didn’t notice other women and would have never cheated on her. I was no angel at 22, there were many before her sexually. I just thought she was the “one.” Everybody used to say “you’ll know when you met the one.” Well, I knew but apparently she didn’t. She ended the relationship then and there when she told me she had cheated. I pleaded with her which was so unlike me. She just piled on with other reasons why it was over.
Then of course about 2 years later she’s available again and contacts me through my best friend, giving him her number to give to me. It’s hard for me to believe the utter brazenness of a person that put you through something like that coming back to see if you’re interested in more.

 

I wonder the same things, Barry. If either spouse is NOT interested in sex with the other .............. what the hell are they doing together?? If one has no interest - or refuses sex with the other one - they force the other one to be celibate. Marital counselors, sex therapists, and psychologists call the person in that situation an "incel." (short for involuntary celibate). If the "incel" is married, they're forced to either live as a celibate - or divorce the spouse and go through the legal, monetary, and child separation issues. Why even get married if one has no intention of sexual relations with their spouse???? Why CAUSE torture and pain???

 

I had a "back-then" girlfriend who cheated on me while away on a trip. I sensed something had happened, and after a week or so, she confessed after I found some material evidence. At first I was angry and hurt, but after a few weeks to cool off, it became a turn-on. I don't even know why.

 

The only time my girlfriend cheated on me, was with another woman. She never considered it cheating, since it was another girl. Later we decide to have an open relationship, so she never cheated on me. My only time me cheating on her was, having sex with a woman, who was off limits, because we had decided to not play with friends or, co-workers. Later we decided to include them.

 

Cheating to me is not when you have sex with another person behind her back. It is the breach of trust. How can a person look into the eyes of their partner after they cheat? If they can they are either a psychopath or they never really had anything worth while in the first place.

 

I was heart broken as I never saw it coming. In the end it worked out for the best as we went our separate ways after 28 years.

 

I'm an idiot because I should have seen it coming. Great sex is not only addictive, it's blinding.

Well she's not cheating afaik, but that would be some sort of relief
