    THIS BOOK IS GREAT!

Its changed my life SO much, the way i think.. the way i live..

So I ordered a stack of copies from amazon.com (its onlylike 11 bucks with shipping) and gave them away to the right friends, which, whoever did read it while tripping, it blew their mind like it did me.

Reading it sober is one thing, but when i read it on acid.. *WOW*. Started reading the middle brown part on acid for 5 hours (could go through it in 30 minutes sober), didnt even finish because i was too sleepy but it "got me there".

I'm going to scan this and put it online for everyone (I *know* Ram Dass won't mind ;) )

Here's a trip report I wrote (well, tried to!) about it,

i have just gotten this book on saturday and have read almost half of it now... i am absolutely in love with this book.. im not much of a reader but i can tell this is a book that i am going to read multiple times for new meanings and answers... last night i made it to the mantras and was reading The Butterfly... and realized how much this mantra explains my recent life.... i have changed my life so much within the past years... not forcefully..
----It's a little more like the image of a caterpillar enclosing itself in a cocoon in order to go through the metamorphosis to emerge as a butterfly. The caterpillar doesn't say: "well, now i'm going to climb into this cocoon and come out a butterfly" It's just an inevitable process. ----

I had an afternoon off from the pub, this book, and an eighth of mushrooms.

my partner and i have each seen this book in our past and we are wanting to have a copy of our own to nurture and re-enjoy.

This was the first of many books I read that started me on the path I am following now. It was a great read when I was 16. I then jumped into the book 'auto biography of a yogi, Paramanhansa Yogananda'. I might have spelled the name wrong.

That book changed my life in about ten seconds at Barnes & Noble one day. I'd always heard about it and been interested in it. I picked it up and was looking through the "ingredients" part of the cook book and saw the "Time and Space" one and flipped to the specified page and read:

    Ask yourself: Where am I?
    Answer: Here.
Ask yourself: What time is it?
    Answer: Now.
Say it until you can hear it.

It's like, there's always rays of sunlight that manage to seep through the cracks in the clouds, but this was like a clean break for the radiance of the whole to shine through all at once, which is what this was. I went to the library, checked it out, and that day.... it was like the first real step on my path. It's hard for me to explain but I know you guys understand what I'm getting at; I'm sure several of you have experienced the exact thing with this book yourselves.

ooh... now this is some nice truth in here ... ooooh eee.
yes. halfway through but it's just resonating some deep stuff.

"Will it ever be the big ice cream cone in the sky? Will it ever be an eternal ice cream cone? Or is it always going to melt?"

    *shudders* wow.
