Thanks for the clarification. Not many Mexican markets near me. I'll check one out the next time I go to the city.
This is a rub I like to use on ribs, chicken or fish... Season-it-All | Fiesta Spices I have one of those ceramic eggs that are really great. I'll make ribs, a beer can chicken or smoke fish in it. Camp Chef Roost Beer Can Chicken Holder-BCH1 - The Home Depot Take a whole chicken and rinse it. Open a can of beer and place it in the holder. Coat the chicken with mayonnaise then liberally apply the rub. Place the chicken on the rack butt down. Use indirect heat at 225F (using oak or mesquite) until chicken reaches internal temp of 165F (usually about 20 minutes/lb). Deeelicious! For a more smoky flavor soak some oak and or mesquite chips in water until saturated. Toss them on the fire just before you put the chicken on.
Food sounds good. I think this thread is making me overeat. Yesterday I just had to eat peanut butter with my apples. I gained like 2 pounds...

I sometimes just do that for a BBQ. But often add Halloumi grilled cheese too. Do you have Halloumi in the States?
What ??? No Meat ??? - Nah, now that's not on Candy darlin' - gotta have a couple of steaks, some chicken breasts, sausages and pork chops or spare ribs !!!
I pretty much BBQ everything, but have never thought of adding cheese to the veggies... why didn’t I think of that Sounds delicious. I have never seen that brand of cheese before so I searched and came upon this lol. Americans Don't Know What Halloumi Is And It's Hilarious Although, I just searched an it is available to order via Amazon I bet if I dig deep enough, I’ll be able to find it some place in SoCal. I usually just baste the veggies with olive oil and season with garlic salt and course ground pepper. I tend to use indirect heat as the oil has a tendency to flare if left unattended.
I call it squeaky cheese. You will understand if you manage to find it. There were some Americans that got stuck in Bournemouth over this pandemic, I introduced them to that cheese, they got hooked. lol
You have my interest, will have to try it -- if I can find it. Amazon has two imported and one made in Wisconsin. All are expensive.
