You do realize it's not really bath salt, right? They just call it that because "legal meth substitute" would violate the analog act, and thus be false advertising. And "illegal meth substitute" would be a marketing nightmare.

Yes, I have had experienced snorting "bath salts" on at least 4 occasions, with two different "brands," one called "White Lightning" (500 mg), and the other called "Lady Bubbles" (250 mg).

"Bath salts" or "plant food" as we know is a cover name for the synthetic psychotropic compound MDPV (Methylenedioxypyrovalerone), orginally synthesized in the 1960s as an "upper," but later shelved because it was deemed to be "too strong."

In my experience, bath salts (whatever the "brand") ARE strong, but I disagree that the effect is anything so pleasurable as quality cocaine.

On the contrary, my experiences with this class of drugs is far more akin to that of speed and amphetamines.

When I snorted bath salts, the effects were immediate. My heart rate accelerated rapidly, my blood pressure zoomed "off the charts," and, subjectively speaking, I suddenly became "more voluble," extremely talkative, and the feeling was not unlike that of a "meth trip."

By comparison however, quality cocaine uncut by strychnine or other poisons, that I have been blessed to have experienced over the years, wasn't anything like tachycardia or the feeling of "racing out of control." Conversely, cocaine highs for me have always been warm, social, intensely pleasurable events; feelings of security; feelings of intense well being and the desire to be in the good company of friends. I always did feel a reasonable "extended wakefulness" with cocaine, but I never felt the "zoom like danger" with which bath salts "hit" me, like a freight train going 200 mph with no brakes.

In order to prevent the possibility of tachycardia (feeling of having a heart attack) or the other known "bad trip" side fx of bath salts, I would, about once an hour after snorting, take a pill or two of Klonopin, in order to "buffer" or "mute" the intensity of the MDPV rush. Frankly, I was really quite frightened when I experimented with these "salts."

My advice to potential users of "bath salts" (which are still legal in most states), is ... caution, caution, caution. This drug is eventually going to be outlawed, but for the time being, if you want it, you can get it, just like cigarettes (cost of the salts for me was between $25 for a 250 mg jar or $50 for a 500 mg jar). Consistency of the drug varied from fine powder to tiny crystals the size of sleet.

People have been known to commit suicide while on bath salts IF ... they are in the WRONG "set and setting" (not with other people or good friends who can help you "manage" the high).

These babies are DEFINITELY "drugs," no question about it. You WILL feel a RADICAL altered state.

There is a great chance that you may feel: invincible, the life of any party, and have "boundless energy" like you never felt before. But be careful. When you "come down," if you don't manage the descent (I did this using benzodiazepines), the "end game" is unpredictable.

Having used the salts now, I have no desire to use them again. They are NOT anything akin to "quality blow." I would compare them to meth, or to speed, or to "No Doz on Steroids."

If energy is what you want, that is EXACTLY what you will get from any of the numerous "brands" of MDPV. Yet again, caution cannot be stressed too firmly.

Under the influence of bath salts, you shouldn't drive a car if at all possible. You should DEFINITELY be in a "user friendly environment," meaning: Surround yourself with your BEST friends, who KNOW what you are doing, or ... you are doing the salts together."

Do NOT just ... "ride the lightning" without a "parachute." This stuff could mess up your life, get you into trouble in any number of ways (car accident; a fight with a stranger; blackouts ... not uncommon either).

And ... the salts are DEFINITELY "a social drug." The only reason for doing them by yourself in your home or apartment is ... If you haven't cleaned your house in a year -- You might find, like that character in "There's Something About Mary," vacuuming every room in the place, sweeping the floors, dusting the furniture, giving your whole dwelling "a makeover." Except ... the next day -- you may not know where anything is any longer, and you might have blisters all over your hands from scrubbing the floors for hours on end, singing crazy songs to yourself ... and LOVING IT! Ugh.

Really not my idea of "the perfect high."

    Peace.

    Sincerely,
    Larry Gilsinn, M.D.

There is a jet epidemic in my area, they are confused as to where to smoke the salts. I told them in the bath tub of course.

Try them at about 200 mgs orally, the Lady bubble one in particular and then get back to us about that warm, and pleasureable feeling.

PLEASE do not do bath salts. Many people over dose on them and if you do too much it feels like theres bugs crawling under your skin and you literally just want to kill yourself. My mother works in a mental ward and has patients come in all the time because they scratched themselves to the point they bleed because they itch all over and feels like bugs crawling under your skin. You do a little too much or u have a low tolerance, then you might as well end your life. That is the truth. Ive never done them myself but when i told mom i was gonna try em she said dont and told me what happens. DONT DO IT PLEASE!!! --- Also, from what i have heard, its not a coke feeling, its more of a methy feeling.
