I was thinking of going to bartending school this summer and I was wondering if anyone on here knew whether it was a worthwhile job? I think it'll be lots of fun and a good source of income, the school that I'll be attending has a tuition rate of $395. Any bartenders (or not bartenders) out there that can offer some advice? Any is welcome.

I see that you are 18. Many bars wont let 18 year olds serve alcohol, even though it is legal in most circumstances. Bartending is different with every bar. Usually a good outgoing personality can be a plus. Many busy bars may not take someone w/ no experience just out of a bartending school. I would try and first land a job at a bar/grill to get something to put on the resume.
