I treat my bartender the way the bartender treats me. In other words, "heavy on the whiskey" means exactly that.
I forgot, I have only ever interacted with one bartender. He checked my ID and then made me a pineapple fruity drink that was amazing. I had no idea what I wanted and he just guessed. He did a good job of guessing! lol
I have been a waitress as well as a bartender, so I treat both people very well. Tip well, unless I've been given a real reason not to. I prefer bartending to waiting tables.
like if you're standing there waving a 50 and the bartender ignores you i hate waitressing i usually love bartending, i love bartending but i work in the shittiest bars known to man i once caught people smoking crack in the washroom of a bar i worked at i've had people tip me in nickles i've had a man threaten my life because he was in the hells angels i've had people threatened with guns outside of my bar and people stabbed down the street from my bar i've had to deal with the saddest people on the planet and sometimes my job makes me want to kill with all the things i've seen and put up with.. the one thing that gets to me...what happened last night...is someone telling me how to do my job it's nice that there are good stories on this forum about bartending...maybe one day i can have better stories and can look back and laugh
I may get jumped for this, but is it possible that your attitude may be as much a part of the problem as your environment? Maybe you're just pissed that you've got to go to work, and feel that life has dealt you a shitty deal? Me, I'd be thankful for "nickles". It's better than "pennies", and still it's something. Some people are jobless, homeless, and toothless, and hurting bad. Those people smoking crack in the washroom,,I'd be sorry for them. They're in a bad state. No one threatens your life just "because they're in the hell's angels". Dealing with the "saddest people on the planet" might be difficult, but it's not your job that makes you "want to kill". It's how you see it. You're bitter, and you just sound like you're radiating that energy at work. And then, someone "telling you how to do your job". Sounds like you may need that, if you're just carrying around all of this negative energy at work. If you can't love 'em, leave 'em. You're not doing anyone a "service", and the world doesn't "owe" you a flat dime.
hahahahahahahahahahaha oh god i love it when people feel like they can judge me on the internet thanks for that, i needed a good laugh i may be bitter, you got that right but that's only because i am smarter and pretty much better than most of the people in this world and if you had a realization like that at the age of 21 you would most likely be bitter too and less quick to pass judgment to someone on an internet forum you do not know at all ok bah bye now
Either you've never actually had to deal with real human beings or you are completely and utterly retarted.
Don't thank me. Thank yourself, for having enlightened the world, through the internet, as to your real feelings about the multitudes of people that are "beneath" you. One thing you've got going for you. You're only 21 yet. Hopefully, by the time you're 31 or 41, you'll grow a bit and let a little love in your heart.
AS if. And you, you've dealt with "real human beings",,right on, real guy. Let's hope in your "dealings" with these "human beings", they get a better treatment than Princess Bartendress.
Have you ever been harassed by drunks, short changed, blamed for the manager's mistakes, treated like a peasant, lectured, insulted, physically threatened, used or lied to by the very people that expect you to treat them like royalty, even after you have treated them like royalty? If you had you wouldn't begrudge a bartender a little cynicism.
ahahahahahahaha oh god gold let me sort this out..because i feel it is necessary to prove how much better i am than everyone else... for 1. i do not feel sorry for people that smoke crack, they brought it upon themselves and pity only contributes to their self destructive behavior it does absolutely nothing to correct it for 2. i just love how you think that anyone deserves to be threaten by anyone...by saying that someone doesn't threaten my life just "because they're in the hell's angels" perhaps you meant something different by saying that, but the way you worded it it came across like i had done something to provoke a verbal attack on my life no one, not even the worst people deserve to have their life threatened while they are at their job and for 3. the world doesn't owe me a flat dime, however when i am at my place of employment where the government allows my employer to pay me less money due to the fact that people are "expected" to tip..then that make the people i serve "owe me a flat dime" ok thanks for playing, get out of the thread now or i will talk to someone about the "negative energy" you are bringing upon me
I've used the "double commas" for years now. I have no idea who "cooloner" is. Seems you can't tell much.
this is exactly why i love you also cooloner doesn't use periods or capitals otherwise i might have thought the same thing this is some other troll
Boo fucking hoo about how much you're part of the downtrodden masses who don't get paid enough. I got my ass kicked for enough years doing hard labor to earn a living and feed a family. I've dealt with plenty of people that don't show respect. Quit cryin' about it. Go out there and make a difference. And quit blaming "the hell's angels". I've had my own life threatened at work, by some little Mexican shit. I didn't go around blaming Mexicans. Your attitude makes me want to tip the next bartendress/waitress just that much less. Oh, and go tell whoever about my "bad attitude". Tell them about your own while you're at it. I'm a graduate of Fordham University,,,old "FU". :cheers2:
