Barefooters and foot fetishes

I think I've got a fetish because I go barefoot. I think during the time when I was growing up and being brought up to wear shoes I was excited by and was very envious of people who did go barefoot. how the sexual connection came about I don't know but it did.

 

I go barefoot cause I love to walk barefoot and cause of my foot fetish.

I like feet in a strong, utilitarian way. It's just the sex/turned on part that really doesn't apply to me, but I like seeing strong feet and I like showing mine -more as a display of strength and health. I even like 'showing off' a bit by strolling across rough gravel or even running across it when people are looking, or by confidently walking around when it's cold out. I don't really need others noticing/seeing me though... I feel great when *I* am running across gravel, or when my feet stand up against some snow walking, even if no one else sees it. It gives me a confidence booster in my own body, but again related to strenght/health rather than appearance/sexuality.

i go barefoot in all weathers... most days after work i get home..kick off my shoes and change and then head barefoot through the woods to the Broadwater..my favourite secluded spot here by the river... the path takes me through so many sensations...gritty dirt track.... soft silky grass...wet squelchy mud (heaven between your toes) and finaly into the cool waters of the river....i love it and by the time i get home i'm relaxed from head to toe... just perfect... i adorn my toes with rings and yup...i guess i'm never comfortable in shoes... but a foot fettish...i dont think so...

I have a foot fetish. Spring is here, more and more women are showing off their feet...love it!!! I love bare feet and feet in flip-flops. im over that though, and i love feet just as much as i love other body parts. they are just part of the body as a whole, so i love them.
i barefoot because i am used to it and ive been doing it since i was little, because it feels nice, and for the reasons Myranya gave up there.

Well, that's definitely an offshoot of the general acceptance of female feet as objects of attraction, as opposed to men's feet which are generally seen as purely utilitarian. It's somewhat of a natural conclusion because women tend to take care of their own feet, as well as get into shoes, painting toes and all of that, much more than men do. I do think there is a bigger trend nowadays for guys to take better care of their feet, and I do see a lot more guys wearing flip flops now than when I was younger, so maybe things will even out someday. But I still think women will keep the edge on this particular habit just based on the differences between men and women.

 

If you look in the Barefoot section there's a post from "Barefoot Mila" titled "Close-ups of my bare feet" (as of May 3, '07) which blatantly leads you to a pay site, I'd guess somewhere in eastern Europe, where you're invited to sign up to see pictures of girls' bare feet. You can't call it pornographic, but paying money to see girls barefoot--how weird is that? I don't think it's a question of women taking better care of their feet than men do, it's how men look at women. Sometimes I wonder if a lot of women have trouble remaining heterosexual. We sure give them reasons not to be.

 

I guess it depends what part is 'weird" to you. If you're saying that "weird" is finding the image of a beautiful woman going barefoot in public arousing to people, then obviously I would completely disagree with you.

If you're saying that "weird" is to pay for something that you can find in great quantity for free on the internet, then yeah I see where you're coming from. I mean, I like Mila's posts because I think that the quality of the photographs are much nicer than a lot of the content you can find out there, but not enough for me personally to justify paying for it.

However, I don't disparage anyone who does choose to pay for her site - to each their own and for some foot fetishists this IS pornography and worth paying for.

So you think that sexuality is a choice then? That a man with a foot fetish can just turn off that attraction rather than be thought of as objectifying a woman's feet? That a woman can be offended by a man's behavior enough that they could just turn into a lesbian?

Or are you just implying that women's feet get the lion's share of attention because men are more visually stimulated by women than women are of men? I concede that there are definite differences in the importance that men and women place on physical attractiveness when it comes to long-term relationships, but I believe that's basic human attraction and objectification goes both ways and has the same effect on both men and women (have you ever seen video of a "hen night"? - look it up and you'll see what I'm saying).

Both men and women have fetishes - and both sexes have the capacity to objectify the other. So I don't think that "the way men look at women" has much to do with this argument - but I can see how people could think this, because I will concede that much of the erotic content you find in life, and on the internet (with porn, et. al) is tailored more for men than for women. I don't think that says as much about human sexuality as it says something about sexual politics - specifically the fact that women are finally starting to be as comfortable with their own sexuality as men have been for generations. That's changing, and for the better, if you ask me.


But I still believe that if women's feet are more accepted and given attention as objects of attraction, it's because of the attention women pay to their feet, not the other way around. There's a huge market for footcare products, shoes, etc. - men don't force any of these products into the market...women have adopted better foot care as a part of their overall beauty, and so that attention is rewarded (and MUCH appreciated by men like me!). I wasn't trying to start an argument - I just wanted to clarify my point and help you see where I was coming from without generalizing too much.

 

I definetly have a barefoot fetish for both male and female feet, also I got stuck with a sock fetish haha. But feet are extremely attractive and it is also the most popular of all the fetishes. I very rarely come across a female with a foot fetish although have found most females enjoy having their feet massaged and paid attention to. It makes for great foreplay (male and female). i love being barefoot and fortunately i live in the deep south of the usa, which allows me to be barefoot, usually, unless i am working. i love so see barefeet on men or women. i find feet to be a very attractive part of the human body. is it a fetish for me, i don't know? i guess it is a slight fetish.

 

Going barefoot and having a foot fetish are very connected for me. I've had a foot fetish practically my whole life, but it lay dormant for a very long period of time. It's only been within the last twelve years or so that I've pursued it at all.

As far as going barefoot, that's even more recent for me, but it eventually stemmed from my foot fetish. I've been doing it for about two years now, and wish I could say I go everywhere barefoot, but I still have a little apprehension. I don't go into restaurants barefoot (although I have) or to work, but I do go pretty much everywhere else barefoot. I like the attention I get, both positive and negative, although I must admit that sometimes it does seem that everyone looks at you as if you're a freak. But I've learned to overcome that and don't let it bother me. In fact, I look at it as their weakness rather than mine. If they want to make such a big deal about it, fine, let them; it's their problem, not mine. But I have gotten some postiive feedback and attention now and then, which is very rewarding. I only wish I'd see more guys (and girls too, although I'm not attracted to female feet) going barefoot. I think the more of us who do it, the more converts we'll make.
