I bought a pair of these to try: Barefoot Sandals Breeze Mens Foot Jewelry Paracord w/ | Etsy Kind of neat, they look okay on me and comfortable so far (just trying out around the house). At first glance, it might be enough to fool the Walmart checkout ladies that hassle me from time to time. Although on second thought, they might be unusual looking enough to draw closer scrutiny, at which point it's obvious they are just foot decoration, not footwear. Anyone else have wear something similar? Edit: From a distance perhaps they might fool someone who happened to glance down. As barefooters, we're probably more aware/interested in what other people are wearing on their feet, in hopes of spotting an elusive fellow barefooter, but most people are probably not paying that much attention.
Nice. From above like that, would be difficult to tell if there is a sole or not. I wore mine to Walmart today, no issues, although I only get hassled there once every 10 trips or so. They are very comfortable, I fell asleep last night with mine on. I also ordered a different design to try that has more straps on top (looks more like a regular sandal), but sole still completely bare. When I'm out running errands, I don't care that I'm not completely barefoot with these things on, I mainly want the ground feel - cool store tile feels nice.
Wore them all weekend running errands. Got a compliment from a lady outside a store who thought they were cute. Maybe a weird look from one or two peeps (or could have been my imagination), otherwise no issue. For some reason I feel more confident wearing these things into stores, so that's probably the biggest benefit.
No. She asked what they were. I guess technically they are soleless barefoot sandals. Xeros and others with thin, flat soles are also called barefoot sandals.
Yes she sports them in public all the time. They sort of count as her "shoes." I'm not as fancy, if I'm bare I'm bare.
unlike bottomless shoes, that are (just my opinion eh) the goofiest , most ludicrous item imaginable, these "sandals" actually look cute and if some observer realizes their real nature at least one doesn't appear like a real life cartoon character, in my view bottomless shoes are unquestionably preposterous.
I rather go barefoot I think people have a had time when they see someone walking barefoot I think they wish they could do the same but they are scared to go barefoot
