Barefoot last name

    I was checking this last name on whitepages and I'm not very satisfied with the description:

    It may have referred to a peasant unable to afford even the simplest type of footwear, or to someone who went barefoot as a religious penance.

    Would be nice to add "barefoot by choice", like Louise Sugarman.

  2. Well....lots of last names were derived from jobs....like Baker, Cooper, Shoemaker, and Smith....and then colors...Brown, Green, Black, White...and a select few are named Shoe...which brings me to the issue of relevance...YES I ENJOY GOING BAREFOOT....and then there's.....
