Yes. Barefoot on nice smooth, warm concrete after a hot summer rain is the best. (Less twigs than in the grass perhaps).
Not too keen on barefoot in the rain, I don’t like the ‘squelchy’ feeling of it. Doesn’t stop me though if I’m already out with no shoes. But if it’s raining all day it’s generally a crappy day and a bit cold, so I’ll wear shoes or flip flops.
It was nice the seawater was so clean compared to rain puddles sometimes, I could see down even if it was up to my knees.
The weather is colder now and tbh, this is my fave time to go barefoot outdoors. I love the coolness of the pavement - much more than hot humid summers.
Yes, it's a good time for walking barefoot outdoors. I enjoy to feel the wet asphalt under my bare soles.
I love barefoot walks on wet pavements. Also cool dry ones on summer nights. Also stinging hot ones on summer afternoons. Also snowy ones in winter. Also leafy ones in autumn. I just fucking love going barefoot!
The downside of walking barefoot are the acorns everywhere in my driveway. Sweep them away, but more fall making for a painful experience, sometimes.
I've been going barefoot most of my life, rain or shine. Where I live, it doesn't get much below freezing in the winter at night. I'm now 64, and I feel the cold more than I used to. Fortunately, I'm not a morning person. I have had trouble, the past few years, with the winter wetness breaking down the skin between my toes. I didn't have this problem when I was younger. Does anyone have any suggestions?
Do you mean your skin is cracking? Moisturizer may help. I can relate about the cold. I will be 63 very shortly and the cold bothers me too as I felt I had to move to a warmer climate back in my mid 40's.
i put a lot of petroleum jelly on my feet before I hit a dusty trail. The dust will dry feet out quick .......especially if you tend to have dry skin.
