Hi, I'm 15 and new here.. I actually don't consider myself a hippie but I like to go barefoot.. It all started actually about a month ago in our art class. We are staying overnight at school as we are the committee for a school event that is going to be organized in 2 days. It's kinda crazy...So yeah, the committee is expected to be at school 24/7. Some of us can't stay overnight but as I live very near to school, most of us (10 people) stayed overnight at school for 3 days straight, busy preparing. Ok, enough the introduction. So we are making a poster and we had an idea - we want to have a footprint in the poster. I volunteered and dipped my feet inside the paint and made a footprint. As I can't just wear the shoe right away after that, I worked barefoot. So then someone knocked over the paint and it spilled on my shoes and socks. They are covered in paint and soaked. We tidied up the mess and I rushed to my footwear. I washed it by dipping it in water bucket for a few hours (silly me) and showered it. However it made the situation worse and my shoes and socks became unwearable lol. I spent the day in bare feet. Being bare feet is the nicest sensation ever. I stepped on the ceramic floor, it's cold. It's nice. I like it. The floor is dusty and my feet got dusty by walking all over it. I spent the next 3 days in bare feet completely. In the morning I attended the class in bare feet, and stayed overnight in bare feet too. I walked on the school field in bare feet and god the feeling is so amazing. I really love the warmth of the soil on my feet, the grass, everything. Until now I haven't bought a new pair of shoes and went completely bare foot. I've shopped barefoot in shopping malls, watched movie, hang out, go to school, all barefoot. It is very nice. I did get some weird looks but screw them anyway, this is my feet and they have no rights about it.
Sounds like you're startin' to understand the feel of Mother Earth in a brand new way. I am curious how you don't get into trouble for going barefoot into school though, or any of those other places. My teachers used to crap themselves whenever I walked into class barefoot. Believe it or not I even got suspended for it once.
I would have liked to go barefoot to school. And if I knew I would get suspended I would have. Getting punished for barefeet would mean I was doing something right......lol
