Yesterday I went barefoot to the movies and it was 28F three hours later when we came out it was snowing and it felt great cleaning the car off in bare feet and stepping in the snow
whatever happened to the days when a movie was 90 minutes? people's attention spans turn to shit, and hollywood responds by doubling the length of their movies.
Yeah, I'd need a sedative to sit through a 3 hour movie at the theater. 2 if I was barefoot. I've noticed being barefoot is a huge thing here. Is there some trend I'm not aware of?
I find most movies are roughly 90mins, but I love when I'm browsing through movies on Netflix or something and I'll literally start picking ones based on a short running time. TV series did that, they got us used to hour long shows before it ended, 45mins if you have it on DVD. It taught us that in roughly 52.5mins, you'll be hungry thirsty and need to take a piss. I saw Ferrari vs Ford the other day and I know it teetered on 3hrs, so when I was having my whiskeys in the cinema I knew I'd have to go to toilet at least once which I did, so it didn't bother me but a 90min flick and I'm kinda frustrated if I need to leave.
i don't know that it's so much a trend as that this is just one of the only places on the internet where the barefoot-is-a-lifestyle people gather.
I always go to the cinema barefoot especially if I'm going to be sat there for nearly 3 hours and let's not forget the 30 to 40 minutes of adverts beforehand.
