In my family, being barefoot seems to be the rule rather than the exception. My mom doesn't like having shoes on the carpet, and we are all barefoot at home pretty much all the time. I certainly don't mind.
Ignore "everyone" and listen to yourself. lets alter that, "Ignore "[all the unimportant people]" and listen to yourself and by important i mean, mom, dad...not popular people
My parents never really cared to be honest I did it all the time as a little girl and now I do it most of the time as a women. During the summer I would never wear shoes intill I got another job ... that was soo weird it didnt feel right going from barefoot to shoes LOL .. I still run around barefoot when I can .. I love it ... It makes you feel more connected to the earth when you have the grass blades run threw your toes and the sticky mud under your feet ... I wish I can do it more offten but its hard with school and work.. but I do it as much as I can
my mum always tells me to take myshoes of at home i dont mind being barefoot around the house as neither does she
being barefoot is so comfortable. When in shoes i feel all clamy and well trapped, I rarly get outside in bare feet as I get odd looks when I do but it's so much better. I's how it should be for all =D
There's no problem going bf in the UK, (except the weather!), no one bothers. Sometimes people ask me where my shoes are, but i quite enjoy explaining why i don't wear them. The last comment was at a country park;- "here's someone who doesn't need boots"!
I'm always barefoot and let my kids go barefoot if they want. But my mom is always trying to put socks or slippers on them. She always thinks they are cold. I don't care if anyone wants to use shoes or not in my house.
id hate it if i couldnt be barefoot in my house.. thats like the one place you should always be able to be how you want
