I know journalism has a duty to make us aware of the world around us, but I'm torn. Before Columbine, I never heard about school shootings. After, they were in the news all the time. Now it's using a vehicle in a terrorist attack. I think glorifying this in the media is creating copycats. I don't know. The world is gettin' weird...
Terrorists have been told to use this system, along with knives.. Don't think you can call this glorifying, it's terrorists.. Remember this? http://www.mirror.co.uk/news/uk-news/london-bridge-terror-van-circled-10556962 It's across the world now..
I know, why all of the people plowing into crowds with vehicles lately? Seems to be "trending", but maybe it is just because of press coverage? Either way, seems like a brutal way to go.

Another attack of Terror:- Whilst awaiting the naming of Murderous party of misguided desire, we should reflect on the fact that Terror only succeeds if we allow Fear to be acceptable. "Never give, up Never surrender" is a credo of resistance where "Love is the Answer" should always prevail
13 dead in counting. Bring on the: -Pray for ________ hashtags -Lighting up flags on buildings -#Not all muslims -The flags of Spain as photo-filters -Do nothing.
Islamic terrorists vs. innocent people? Are you serious? Charlottesville was the fringe left vs the fringe right
Sure that might give people ideas. However the media is very important. I don't think they should not address this. To take the pro 2nd amendment argument "people can be killed with anything. If not a car, a gun, if not a gun a knife". So it's probably people motivated to kill anyway possible even if you don't give them an idea.
I'm getting entirely too desensitized to this mess I still feel sadness for the dead and their family, I dont mean it like that...but terrorist attacks used to be shocking. And now my reaction is more along the lines of, oh for fucks sake, another one ?
Which is why I said I'm torn. I agree with that statement. But goddamn, if horrendous actions don't repeat themselves. Remember when we had 4-5 channels and a local paper? Now we hear about everything everywhere instantly--without a filter mind you--so it's no wonder these actions seem pervasive to normal people and like good ideas to people who are disturbed.
