You can't stop "progress." And progress doesn't mean neighbors helping to grow healthy food, giving something helpful for the children to do,

or bringing the neighborhood together. It means houses, shopping centers, higher real estate prices, etc. (we need LOTS more of those shopping centers, of course) Typical. I'd say. Probably need to ferret out these 'commies' before they do any harm to the banks/real estate heroes. Oh--and they're black? Well, then--that seals it.

funny how the bank can find a bulldozer to flatten an abandon lot being used productively by the community garden..
yet fails to maintain any other abandoned lots over grown with weeds, used as garbage dumps.. it just amazes me.

Sad, very sad. With stories like this it's sometimes hard not to be apathetic... :(

The people in that community have an indomitable spirit and will continue to grow someway or another.

    That's what life takes.

    We all need that.
