Blue Oyster Cult: They had a few hits with Don't Fear The Reaper and Burning for You but they have an extensive catalog of great music. I'd probably put a collection of their best songs up against any other Rock Band from the 70's not named Led Zeppelin, Pink Floyd or Black Sabbath. The romanticism and fascination with the paranormal really shines through in their music and I think it's held up well with societies growing fascination in the paranormal. The Orb: From my understanding, they actually were quite popular in the UK but I haven't found anybody in the US who knows who they are. I primarily am familiar with the album Adventures Beyond the Ultraworld, which is quite a psychedelic listen. I'm not sure if they were influential on many of the subsequent psychedelic electronic groups that came about in the following decade or just really ahead of their time but a lot of what I like in electronic music like Shpongle, Bluetech, and some of the dub-inspired electronic music more recently is found in The Orb...
